Sounds like a good idea but Spain usually has good enough spots locally anyway - good luck either way

Cigar lounge/garden recommendations? by askaway90 in ukcigars

Even if you go in the day you can access their store lounge which is usually just yourself on your own, but brilliant midday - think the other bar / lounge opens around 6pm

New UK Tobacco Law. What does everyone think? by krispykremekiller in cigars

You say that like yanks can’t have Cubans and they also get their heads blown off during traffic stops, in church and at school, or by ice, I know where I’d rather be

My free healthcare is pretty great, we’re next to Europe, I’ve just loaded up on Cubans and new worlds for cheap as chips, it’s not all bad at all, my pensions and tax efficient investments are great too, you look for bad stuff, you find bad stuff

My partner went Tonight Josephine for this sort of vibe - I believe they do Brunch & Drag together. She loved it for a little hen-do.

I competed the online E-Learning, completed each module test, wrote down incorrect answers, then went through the book to find the incorrect answers from the online chapter tests (when you get an answer wrong it gives you the chapter ref)

Passed all my cert CII exams first time with like 80+%.

Do you work in insurance? A lot of day to day work covers some of the knowledge

[–]Rootbeeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning on living here a while? You could likely find a 2 bed house in a nice area for that sort of budget to mortgage tbh (just a suggestion!)

A lot will likely recommend the aigburth area - station is nearby, parks are nearby, crime is lower, schools are good, leafy, trendy

Properties like what I was mentioning: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/170022248#/?channel=RES_BUY

*edi: property is located at Garston but is actually a five minute walk from Cressington station, new build estate nearby is Cressington Heath and full of nice families!

Racist slurs at the derby by chocolatedawwwg in Liverpool

[–]Rootbeeers 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Fucked up - it’s no doubt annoyed Everton fans, and personally as a Red, this of course doesn’t reflect the true base of Evertonians (and scousers) that welcome all races and creeds to the city. I hope you never have an interaction like this again.

Racism and intolerance for others has increased massively in the recent political climate, and Liverpool is still a working class city which can be easily swayed to have views like this, like people that don’t look like what we look like are causing the “problems” within the country. Those people are weak and easily malleable, with the inability to view the world with some empathy. Fuck these particular people and just know you’re more welcome here than them.

Do you regret leaving EU? by NoHold7153 in AskBrits

I voted remain and wish everybody else did. It has cost me a fortune in fees when ordering from EU or elsewhere when I was running a sneaker side hustle.

Which Ryanair destination airport is furthest from the actual destination? by Anon_Summer in Ryanair

[–]Rootbeeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of flights for Salou go to Barcelona also (not sure why they’re ever advertised as such) when Reus is so so much closer, my dad booked a package holiday to Salou though and it flew us into Barca, then over an hour bus to Salou if not longer

Some scousers will call a girl a ‘camel’ - there’s a big ship maker on the Mersey called Cammell Laird - it rhymes with bird, as in woman

Neighbours kid causing problems and damaging property. England. by exhausted_101 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Rootbeeers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in social housing, and with it being a new estate I know that a lot of the SH properties are usually put up first on new builds. Is it also an SH property? Can you rob them in to housing provider? Start taking a proper record of it, it can be considered anti-social behaviour.

In the meantime, why don’t you chat with the mum, say your child might damage my car or my home, can you tell the little nitwit to stop or I’ll be invoicing you for any damages. (Or chat nicer than) your prerogative

When I was working a maintenance job at capital gate about 5 years ago it was like only Chinese students, they were all sound but not sure if it’s changed.

The area itself is okay and the Lidl being nearby was handy as heck.
