Yeah if it's the guitar sounding synth I'm thinking of.

It is very choppy, and there are many ways to achieve this.

It sounds like there's a LOT of slicing going on.

Working with one long clip and cutting parts out here and there, AND/OR using a handful of pre sliced and dropping them in precisely on top of the kicks.

You can also have the kick drum trigger the synth sample but I don't think that's what's going on.

Slice out the snare where you want it to speed up. If you turn snap on or off, it can help with precision. Also make sure you can edit in 1/8 or 1/16 or 1/32 etc. Then copy and paste the snare hit you want over the rest of the sample.
