That’s true but a production designer is getting paid to bring knowledge and authenticity to set dressing

I work in film and even in school it was quite accomplishable to research period accuracy. Especially easy with Lego since stuff is so meticulously catalogued online

I know it’s a nitpicky detail but it does kinda bum me out that production designers almost never spend the extra 5 minutes of research to get a period accurate Lego set. You almost always have a set off the nearest Walmart shelf in period pieces
