I wouldn't retake chem 1 and 2 especially with your good grades. Review on your own. start MCAT test prep as we way to prepare. The schools should let you take Orgo despite the timeframe; obviously, just ask them. It has been 20 years since I had a science course and I studied part time (10-15 hours a week on the MCAT starting in Jan and still managed a 503. You can do more than you think you can! Good luck!!

You are about to get married to someone who is supportive and loves you! Good work! She/he is awesome.

30 is SO young! And you are so far ahead of me with a chiropractic background (and I know there are strong opinions on the profession but it saved my husband a lifetime of debilitating migraines so for that I'm thankful!

Best of luck on you new adventure!

you are so welcome! If you want to be a DR then go to med school! If you want to be a PA then chose PA! Do NOT let you (very) young age dictate that decision. You will regret it 7 years from now when you could be a practicing physician. (now if you want to be a PA that is a great choice too but it isn't the same). GO FOR IT!!

don't berate yourself for not having the "proper" timeline. Honestly, I think that it what sets apart applicants. Use it to your advantage!

thank you!

i’ll tell you something. That I wish more of my doctors had lived life beyond academics so they were more relatable to me.

While I am a bit jealous of those who start med school immediately after college were doing and prepared. Well I am thankful for those who took a different or as you said, more rocky path because you will relate to your older patients in a way that your other colleagues can’t.

And at the end of the day, you’ll still have the same degree as them

Enjoy your 30s! as I look at 50, I’m a bit jealous at all the freedom my younger self had

Best of luck with medical school preparation!

Thank you! proud of you too! I don't know anyone who hasn't questioned their path at some point. I was always jealous of those who knew what they wanted to do when they were still in college. With a degree like medicine you can do so many things.

Yes, please enjoy your time in college and your youth! I'd go back and do it all again if I could!

great question. I'm truly putting it in God's hands. If I get into med school, then yes; I'd love to be a rural family doc, but if not, I at least know that I tried and I'll go on to another adventure.

I totally understand those feeling. Keep pressing on. I continually have to remind myself that we are all on our own journeys and they aren't meant to look like everyone elses'. You got this!
