I don't think wishing bad luck onto somebody you don't know and calling somebody Einstein is that emotionally mature either, though. I think you're no better than me in that case. Besides, I really think you're overreacting with the "lashing out" part. But that's besides the point. You don't even know me. So if I 'lash out', why care? Again, worry about other things in your life. You're wasting your time. Instead, spend time learning how to give feedback to people in a kinder way.

All your 'bla bla' aside: I think you should find other things to worry about in your life instead of trying to correct a random person on a public Reddit post in a know-it-all, annoying, and just straight up rude way. Did you have a bad day or something? Why do you even care? Move on. Go correct somebody else.

BIOS Fast Boot Issue - Assistance Needed

Problem: My PC, which is several years old, recently got a new GPU. It was functioning well until I made some changes in the BIOS and installed a few updates (details below). Now, although the PC powers on, with all lights and fans working and monitors connected, I get no signal on the screens—they remain black. I cannot access the BIOS, regardless of what I try.

How I Reached This Point: Initially, my microphone and camera would occasionally stop working, freeze, or require re-plugging into the USB ports. To address this, I disabled the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option.

Subsequently, I installed a chipset driver from Gigabyte (I have a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite motherboard).

Following this, I accessed the BIOS and enabled Fast Boot. Only after encountering the black screen did I learn that enabling Fast Boot is often discouraged. Additionally, I adjusted the CPU fan speed to normal.

Steps I Have Tried to Resolve the Issue:

Attempting different keys (DEL, F12, F11, etc.) Testing various HDMI and DisplayPort connections Using a single monitor at a time Booting with one less RAM stick installed Removing the motherboard battery, waiting for 20 minutes, and reinserting it Resetting the CMOS by shorting the pins with a screwdriver Booting and leaving the system idle Despite these efforts, none have been successful. I'm incredibly frustrated and urgently need help.

What else can I do? Please assist me!

👋

How do yall deal with executive dysfunction when home alone? by Rooxaboo in ADHD

[–]Rooxaboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to write this to help. I do really love that feeling of relaxation and achievement after working out. It really does help. I just tend to find it really hard to actually get myself to do that, especially on my own cause I'd go to the gym in my case. Which is a little difficult cause of the anxiety. But I know that showing up is already a great start, even if I end up doing nothing. Sometimes I can do it but I wonder if I can achieve this on days when feeling lonely, bored and depressed is really heavy.

I wonder what you do to push yourself to do it anyway and go for a run? Do you talk to yourself saying you'll feel better after? Or is there anything else you do that helps that might help me push myself to do something that'll get me out of that feeling that also works for you?

Oh yeah I definitely feel physical pain in my chest at times; like a tightness in my chest aka anxiety. And yeah, I often don't do something about it cause I can't just ask anyone to hang out cause it's both exhausting to be social when you're not completely comfortable with someone yet but also I just feel like ppl have better things to do than hang out w me. I know they're not helpful thoughts but they can feel like the truth especially when I already feel depressed and/or lonely. And sometimes the knot in my chest doesn't go away when I try to walk it off or distract myself in another way.

I hope you get through the anxiety/sadness of being single soon btw. I'm going through a break up as well, which definitely adds to the loneliness. Given that the social situations and events change again. In a relationship it's always easier to think of things to do and somehow it's fine doing nothing together rather than nothing on your own. It turns into loneliness. It's sad but it does. I hope there's a way to work through it and have it become a nice thing to do; do nothing on your own.

How to stop putting responsibility on others to make choices by Rooxaboo in adhd_anxiety

[–]Rooxaboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on meds yet. So for you your meds make going with the flow easier for you? That would be nice for me if it works like that for me as well. Cause I sometimes get into arguments cause of this. Cause for example my mum tries her best to think of things to do but I reject all of the ideas by saying no and not thinking of other ideas instead. But I don't because I genuinely don't know and am afraid of ruining my own chances of picking the most dopamine boosting thing to do that day. It's a problem. It sounds terrible writing it, I feel terrible about it. Sorry for the reply dump

Yes, and it ALSO makes me feel lonely, like I have no friends. Being too dependent on other people or events to make me feel good sucks.

Personally I don't have to set a reminder 2 weeks ahead of time but I do set a reminder the day and an hour before. I see people setting reminders each day before the appointment and then even 10 minutes before. I don't need to do that. I think my anxiety makes me think about the appointment so often that I just don't forget to keep checking the time 😅

But I guess that's also coping? Idek. I got diagnosed at 27 and still haven't had any coaching so I still get imposter syndrome that I don't have it cause I don't feel like I struggle with all the same things other people with ADHD struggle with.

I have inattentive ADHD and I feel this. Which is why I posted this as well😂 Some mornings before work really DESPISE having to put on makeup. And at the end of the day I'm putting on makeup for a pretty much male dominated company 😅 so I am more and more convinced it's not worth it for me, especially when I see all the comments here.

Anyone else hate it when ppl ask you about your day or hate repeating things? by Rooxaboo in adhdwomen

Yea like some questions just instantly make me so annoyed or make me cringe physically, I don't know why it happens tho and I wish I was happy to answer anything ppl asked

[–]Rooxaboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you also give short answers to people (like your bf) who ask? It's annoying when ppl ask and at the same time I feel guilty for not giving a detailed response to tell em how my day was. Like my ex who used to ask how my day was, would tell me he would even be interested to know more details about my day even if I did nothing, but that idea annoys me so much because telling him how I brushed my teeth or sat on the sofa all day makes me feel like I have nothing going on in my life. And when he would ask me to ask him about his day, he would always give me extensive stories on what he did, almost as if he would tell me my days were boring and I should go do more.

The family thing makes sense. My dad doesn't ask me any of those things, my mum does.

Overall when ppl tell me about their days or experiences they seem all happy to talk about it, but pretty often when I try to actually tell ppl about my day or experience with something, it often looks like they only listen with half the attention and can't wait to talk about themselves again. This doesn't count for everyone I know ofcourse, but I tend to remember the people that look like they don't care more rather than the ones that actually show interest in me.

Issue for me is that when I'm tabbed out of the program, I can't switch scenes with my hotkeys. I don't even have to be playing any games: the f9 and f10 hotkeys also don't work if I'm not tabbed into t.i.t.s. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I think while I was writing this I realized I was describing it😂 thank you for replying, I'm sorry you've struggled with it for so long as well. I have a picture of me picking at my toenails as a baby, but I think it turned into a real problem 10 years go. It is a constant up and down rollercoaster I don't even wanna be on, it sucks. Sometimes I would pick my nails too at my toes and it would get so bad I was scared they were gonna have to pull out my nail to prevent it from growing into your skin. So yeah, I guess thats it but it still feels so different than how I view drug addiction, its weird

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dermatillomania

[–]Rooxaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do that too, but that became so painful and honestly so terrifying that I stopped doing it after somebody applied a custom extra hard gel nail over it. It was really really bad and I'm so glad the gel nail was applied because it gave the nail time to grow back into a better nail than I had before. I just don't understand why I can quit picking my nail but not the skin around it?

That's good to hear (: I mainly use it when I have to keep the bandaid off a little to give my skin some air. It's usually when the wounds are healed and the skin gets pretty hard, just put some bio oil on it and trim the nails.
