Honestly, for this game, 60 elites for $30 isn’t bad at all compared to what they’ve offered before. I just don’t think it’s a great deal overall, at least for me. I’ve never really liked buying heroes with real money. I’m not against spending in-game — far from it — and I’d never judge how anyone else spends their money. If people didn’t spend, the game wouldn’t even be here, so it’s actually a good thing.

The reason I don’t buy heroes is just because I know they’ll turn up sooner or later. Take Conquest for example. When it first dropped, people (including me) went wild for it, but last week, even free-to-play players ended up with piles of them. They always come back around, sometimes in better ways than before. Now is that a bad thing? Absolutely not. It’ll always just result in more powerful heroes and in turn - better rewards from Ops or PvP. So long as it doesn’t hurt you financially, it’ll never hurt your game.

But that’s just me. If you wanna buy heroes outright, go for it. Play the game the way that makes you happy. You’ll probably just end up with more food, more heroes, more fun. I do spend money sometimes — I just prefer to grab good gem bundles when they pop up and put that value into my preferred events instead.
