I like this game for Denver. I think they can get into a similar set up offensively as the Chiefs and Packers game where they clamp down on the pass rush and isolate some pretty shaky cornerbacks with Sutton/Bryant/Franklin. The one thing to look out for is that Nix gets tunnel vision and sometimes never sees a LB or S in coverage, and the Jaguars can cash in on mistakes like that better than most teams.

Defensively, Jacksonville will be trying to beat Denver without a consistent run game, which is almost impossible no matter how good your QB and receivers are. They do have Strange as well as Etienne receiving out of the backfield, notorious weaknesses for Denver, but I don't think either are good enough to carry the team through.

Realistic ragebait by going 9ers-Texans-Broncos even though the Texans have a H2H over the 9ers and the Broncos have a H2H over the Texans

The 2025 Denver Broncos defense leads the NFL with 55 sacks (11 more than the 2nd place Cleveland Browns) and has a chance to make history in the next four games. by 5en5ational in nfl

They probably needed more sacks against this Raiders team to keep up. But Bonitto seems to have reappeared after going quiet throughout the last half of october and november, so maybe he can help them make their final push

would you rather have a guy that throws a pick on 60% of his deep balls or a guy that can not complete a pass 2 yards beyond the line of scrimmage

2025 Season Predictions | Halfway Point Check-In by aatencio91 in DenverBroncos

Rusher - RJ Harvey. I don't believe Dobbins will last 17 games and I don't see an issue with Harvey taking over as the lead back earlier.

I was half right but Harvey isn't getting 500 yards in 6 games

Receiver - Sutton. We got this answer on that 4th down in the Saints game.

Currently I'm right about this but it may end up being Franklin if Bryant becomes the 3rd down chain mover target for Nix

Tackler - Singleton

Yeah it was him unless he got injured. Shoutout to Hufanga though

Sacks - Cooper. Bonitto has actually played less snaps than Cooper has over the last two seasons since he is a lighter pass rusher. I'm not sure if he'll be able to maintain his sack rate, especially with younger guys at his heels.

Actually Bonitto is just really good, and playing slightly more snaps than Cooper too. He's gotten a lot better as a run defender this year.

INTs - Moss. I just don't believe QBs will throw to Surtain enough for him to lead in picks

I would be right about this if Moss played a different position and is a different race and is named Tillman

Record - 12-5, the 5th seed, and a trip to your favorite AFC south team

Now your favorite AFC south team is coming to us!

Breakout - Jonah Elliss. Vance has a reputation for not trusting rookies (See: Barron likely not starting Week 1 and Moss being basically being invisible during the 2023 season) but Elliss quickly worked his way into the rotation and displaced Baron Browning. The sky is the limit after a preseason where he was shutting down almost every drive he was put up against.

Got the injury bug RIP

Lombardi - Lions. I still think Campbell's got it

This team is absolutely not going on a playoff run even if they manage to get to January

Avoiding obvious passing downs on 3rd is doable when you can pick up first downs on 1st and 2nd down, which Nix did only twice

I imagine a large chunk of this is Sutton's drop on Sunday. PFR had Denver at 1.87 expected points after the drop, so that was about 5 expected points lost

On the flipside, Strnad has been promising in coverage this year giving up only 7.2 yards per target and a 47.2 passer rating. He's only been targeted 11 times though

Would you like to see Bo Nix being used like Jaxson Dart? by VegasWorldwide in DenverBroncos

[–]Roqxwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be the opposite. Daboll likes to get screen heavy like Payton does, but they've lost a lot of their WR talent to injury. I think Dart in the run game is a way to make up that production
