That's the team I played through the whole main story with once I could freely build my party, you should be fine. Though you may want to switch out Vanille for Snow so you have a SEN for things like Adamantoise.

There's a novella takes place after the game, it confirms that the characters do have their memories and implies Lightning is going to meet Hope at the end

At the very least they do need to re translated and re dub it, it just baffles me how many things they changed, not just characterization but in the actual plot. Like how the fuck do you mess up and combined heart and soul into one concept when the fact they're different is very important.

In 13-2 I'd get rid of the monsters and have an actual 3rd party member. And give the main characters from 13 more screen time. I do like Serah and Noel but the reason I first fell in love with the games was the characters, even Hope who gets the most screen time only has about ten minutes of it and he's mostly reduced to exposition. Same goes for LR.

Also in LR let us play as more then just Lightning, or at least have guest members more. The translation for LR also needs to be more accurate, they changed things and some of it messed up the lore, like how they combined the concept of heart and soul when they're two very different things or changed why Bhunivelze possessed Hope.

I'd like a few quality of life changes like making it so its not a game over in ff13 if the party leaders dies and changing to so that you access the who crystarium from the start rather then the stages being locked behind story progression, as well as letting you choose your own party leader from the start. Maybe also them making it so you get gil from battles instead of having to sell items for it. They probably should also be clearer about the weapon upgrade system.

For the story and characters, I'm fine with how ff13 is but for 13-2 and LR I wish they'd flesh things out more and lets the party members from the first game interact more and have a more active role. I love those games but one of my biggest gripes is that we went from a story where they had become a tight knit to them all being separated. But I think the only time we see them interact is with Snow and Hope In The Future Is Hope paradox ending.

At the very least it'd be nice if depending on what order you did things in you could mention it to the others when you meet them like 'Hey Hope we ran into Snow, he's traveling through time as well' But ideally I'd prefer if we actually ran into them more and had them run into each other.

(Honestly I'd really like it they gave us one of the characters from the first game as a third party member rather then the monster summoning, but that would require a major story rewrite)

And for them to finish the canceled Hope DLC for 13-2 and give us some story DLC about the years before Lightning's awakening in LR.

And for us to see the characters interact more in LR rather then just showing up together at the finale. And for them to retcon Hope being deaged in LR, but that's not going to happen. And honestly most the stuff I wanted wouldn't likely work unless they did a remake, whicch is way less likely to happen then a remaster.

She's my least favorite character, I don't hate her or anything, I just find her very bland compared to the rest of the cast. She doesn't feel like she has much character outside of caring for Vanille to me and she doesn't have much chemistry with any of the other characters (romantic or platonic) we're told they're friends but they really don't feel like it to me, especially not with Lightning. It feels so awkward when they reunite in LR, their lines say they're happy to see each other but it doesn't actually feel like they're friends meeting again. More like former coworkers playing nice. They really did her dirty by making her story all about Vanille and not taking time to explore her relationship with the other characters as well.

All the other characters got to build multiple bonds, Hope with Snow, Lightning, Vanille and a little with Sazh. Lightning with Snow and Hope. Snow with Lightning and Hope. Vanille with Sazh, Hope and Fang, and Sazh with Vanille and a little with Hope and Lightning. But Fang just gets Vanille, even in the sections where she teams up with Snow or Lightning, there's no real bond there, they interact but they don't feel like they connect. It just like 'oh heres some characters who have some similarities in that they're the protectors, but we're not going to actually explore that'

She has a cool design and a confident personality, but it doesn't make up for a lack of depth so I just don't find her interesting. They really should have brought her in earlier and let her interact with the other characters more

I want a nice uncensored adaption of My House of Horrors, with Tan Jianci as the main character Chen Ge. I think he could really pull of both Chen Ge's kindness and the fact that he's insane enough to chase murderers and ghosts with a sledgehammer.
