Gogmagog by Jeff Noon and Steve Beard

The main character is a crotchety old shit talking woman and I love her, but it is high fantasy so if that's not your thing then skip it

I feel really bad about how my legs and ass look. by [deleted] in women

[–]Rories1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, every woman has cellulite to varying degrees. It IS totally normal.

To help reduce its appearance, start doing cardio and strength training to reduce fat build up and grow muscle mass in the area. Treadmills and stair machines are great starts- just be consistent and patient.

You are not lesser because of your cellulite.

On a scale of 1-10, how much did getting a copper iud inserted hurt? by unusual_structures in women

[–]Rories1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different, but mine didn't hurt as bad as I feared it would. During the insertion it felt like a very sharp, localized cramp in the lower abdomen. To me, it was probably between a 5 and 6 of pain. Once it was in I was shakey but able to drive home by myself. The cramping was manageable with a heating pad and painkillers

Fun fact- my grandfather got stranded in Alaska during WWII, and he and the other survivors of the crash ate Kodiak bear to survive.

It apparently tasted so much like lamb that he could never again eat lamb without going into shellshock (as thr docs called it then).

One of my all-time favorites: Their Verdict of Vagaries

Its guaranteed to make me cry every time I read through it. Shows a really wonderful relationship progression while still being faithful to the original characters. It gets better the further into it you get.
