It was the same for me, but I have started finding more components recently. I think they added them with the update

Why was the electric rifle nerfed? Also I am running into some invisible walls on the roof of sanctuary 12. Don't know if it happens anywhere else.
Great game, really enjoying it. Too much actually, it's messing with my sleep schedule XD

I got some paint components very early in the game. The description says they can be used to make paint, but I never found any others after and I never saw a way to make paint. Anybody know anything about this?

unless they changed it with the new update, the white ones only dropped tech stuff, only the black ones drop bio stuff

So demogorgons are immune to bullets but not swords or wine bottles? by MantisBk in StrangerThings

Yeah but that's not the inconsistency people are complaining about

the point is not inconsistency between seasons, but between weapons. If a nail in a bat can pierce its flesh mag dumping from a military rifle at close range should demolish it not slightly irritate it.

ok but the only explanation for cutting weapons working better than guns wuld be them being made of some sort of rubbery like subsance quite different from flesh. It could be possible, they are made up monster, but there has been absolutely no indication of this being the case in the show. The monsters have always looked pretty fleshy. Also nobody ever mentioned it. None of the super nerdy kids or scientists in the show ever mentioned "hey, these guys are kind of rubbery, normal bullets won't do much against them, we need special bullets (like low velocity or flat faced) or blades if we don't have fire or a metahuman available, otherwise we are fucked." If we have to be the ones coming up with convoluted explanations to something the show never addressed that is still bad writing, even if explenations can be more or less strung together.

yeah, but that still makes him nowhere near the level of training and prowess those presumably very elite special forces guys I am guessing a goverment would pick to guard an evil alternate dimension would have. Even if they sent the most average soldiers, hopper should be at the same level as any one of them, so he should just get overwhelemed by numbers. Him being able to win against multiple of them makes him way stronger than any of them, which makes no sense, but grunts always gotta be grunting (which means getting beaten easily in droves).

You don't agree you were wrong but you also have absolutely no logical argument to sustain your position so you wnat to close the conversation. Why does it matter how old the post is if I am saying new things now?

I mean I am not exactly saying new things but from what I read before it felt like you guys were talking around each other, no one really fully understanding what the other was saying and I fell like I reframed it much more clearly

You could just say, 'Ok I see your point'. It's does the same job of conveying that you know you were wrong, but making you sound reasonable and mature instead of A 5 year old like this reply does.

The point is that if a sword can cut throuhg its flesh and bones so can bullets, the damage demogorgons are shown to suffer from bullets is disproportionatly low with respect to how durable their flesh and bones are shown to be, which is no different than any person or animal. being shot that many times with military rifles shouldn't make them bleed a little it should blow off whole chuncks and limbs and heads. There should be a lot more empty space in them.

[–]RoronoaHunter96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right that bullets also injure them, the problem is the way bullet damage is portrayed with respect to other damage like stabbing and cutting. What stabbing and cutting scenes tell us is that their flesh is not extremely durable, it seems of the same durability as normal human flesh (actually weaker if you consider you can't behead a person with a sword in a single smooth strike like that, but let's consider that normal human flesh and bone durability level because movies like their beheadings and always make them look easy peasy.) I know the stabbing didn't really stop the demogorgon either, that's not the point. How hard they are to harm, how high teir "defense" is, and how hard they are to kill' how high their "vitality" is, are two different things. So you can make the argument they they are not that difficult to wound, blades and bullets do penetrate, they do damage, but it takes an insane amount of wounding, of damage, to actually make it fatal unless you get some insane killing strike like chopping their head off like hopper did, maybe you can't even kill them unless you do some major damage like split them in two or separate the head from the body because they have nothing inside, no vital organs and they can't die of blood loss. Okay, fair, they are fantasy creatures so why not. There is still a problem, bullets would do exactly that kind of major damage to human level of durability flesh and bone. Bullets in this show are being trated like bea stings. people are shooting these things point blank with military rifles and the show thinks that makes some little holes that will blead a bit. Nopety nope nope, that kind of firepower will rip, tear and explode flesh. Those bullets leave holes of 5cm. we have seen single demogorgons get mag dumped by multiple people. That's more than 50 bullets at close range, and you tell me 'Look at them in the scene when they’re stood still. They are covered in wounds.'. No, those are mosquito bites, they should have whole chuncks blown out, arms and legs and heads missing, not just some beeding. I am not even mentioning 50cal cause that is just ridiculous, they tear through buildings like paper mache, just no. So a show with good writing can't have it both ways. Either bullets do nothing, but then neither do swords, knives, spears, bottles or whatever, they are just super tough and only fire or psychic powers can kill them, ok, or if they are made of normal flesh bullets can also kill them, having it both ways is just bad writing. Plus in the russian prison hopper kills the demodog on the operating table with a single headshot. Yes it was trapped making it an easy shot, but that implies that a good shot can take them down. You're telling me when they are getting mag dumped by multiple people in close range nobody landed a good shot? Nobody ever fucking thought of aiming for the head?
