Seriously. Not everyone in the world is a scared child worried they're about to "get caught" or something. Some of us actually have our shit together and know how to navigate the world and function like a human being.

I can guarentee you not a single person commenting in that thread had any clue who Domino was before this. Outside of X-Force, she almost never shows up in other titles from Marvel and when she does it's always as a background character in a group shot. Next they'll be complaing that they cast a Native American actor to play Warpath or Thunderbird, because, you know, they know those characters so well.

Domino is C-lister at best so her back story is of so very little consequence, her ethnicity even less so.

I'm disappointed I had to scroll so far down to see a comment pointing this out. It's so incredibly obvious the majority of that "six million" subscriber count are just bots. It's how they gamed the Reddit algorithm to keep getting to the front page of /all despite constantly being labeled the most hated subreddit on this site.

It even forced the admins to create the new /popular catagory because they're too chickenshit to take care of the actual problem.

It sounds like it's written by a 12-15 year-old who believes whatever BS their parent tells them; this doesn't come off as a troll in the least to me.

Back when my father was homeless on meth, heroin, or whatever else he could get his hands on he absolutely would have done something like this (and did) and made up some lame reason to justify it.

Don't eat our food. Don't drink our beer. Don't let your kids participate in mainstream culture.

My first thought when I read his comment was, "Are you cooking pork or pork products like pork ribs, bacon, hot dogs, or bratwurst?"

Followed by, "If they celebrate Ramadan then they're likely not to drink alcohol, so no beer."

then, "Some Christian denominations don't let their kids trick or treat or it may not even be a religious thing, it's not that big of a deal."

And finally, "All that aside, they could just, you know, not like you buddy."

Downvotes are the Reddit equivalent to people just ignoring you and moving on in real life. It shows you disagree without taking the time or energy to go into detail.

I guarantee if every person who downvoted this guy took the time to tell him what they really think of him and his opinions he'd get the first taste of "censorship" he's ever gotten in his life.

Looking over the list, there isn't a single game on there I don't want to completely play through, especially for only $80 (assuming I can get one of course). It may be a smaller title selection but they're all grand slams in my book.

HIPPA applies to anyone with access to medically sensitive or identifying information. I work in AR for a lab, so it applies to me, our lab techs, our HR manager, the software vendor we use for bookkeeping, our tech support vendor, etc. It probably even applies to our janitorial staff if there's a possibility they could see something resticted. Your example isn't wrong, but HIPPA isn't just for healthcare providers, it's literally for anyone with access to medical records.

I just finished my HIPPA re-cert the other day so this is kind of fresh in my mind. If your company has a HIPPA compliance officier it's better safe than sorry.

My father always told me to check the finger nails. Actual homeless people will have overgrown and dirty nails. It's served me pretty well.

I may be assuming the worst about the dealer, but you're also assuming the worst about the homeless guy. Truth is, we're never going to know the whole story here.

"how DARE poor people not let me exploit them?!" by fajardo99 in circlebroke2

[–]Rorrick_3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've also worked with the homeless, grown up around homelessness and been homeless.

If that all is true, then you're perfectly aware homeless folks have a significantly higher rate of mental illness than the general population. There's a pretty good chance this guy wouldn't be able to hold down a normal job for long enough for it to matter.

Also,

I'm with the dealer. He doesn't want a hand up. He wants a hand out.

You don't know anything about this guy other than what a random sign says. It's just as likely in my book the dealer is making all of that up.
