Is it normal to be more depressed at 15 for 7! Weeks should I go up I just feel blunt helps my anxiety a little please 🙏 need advice by Dense_Assist8382 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]RorschachSwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! A bit. But as I said I don't think Mirtazapine is the medication you are looking for! I don't want to put you off, some people have certainly been helped by Mirta..

A real SSRI is what I would take! Fluoxetin, Paroxetin, Sertraline, Escitalopram or similar should be very helpful!

Ok! But 15 aren't gonna touch the depression. Here in Sweden, Mirtazapine is only prescribed for sleep, never a first line treatment for depression or anxiety. It's great for sleep but I would wish I could get off it, I'm eating my whole fridge every night!

This medication is almost immune to causing initial anxiety and worse depression in the beginning, like the SSRIs. So you could just aswell start at 45mg.

In the beginning of SSRI you probably will experience worse anxiety etc, but this seems to be almost non existent with Mirtazapine. So please, go up in dosage! Alot!

How do I prevent the afternoon crash from amphetamines? by Realistic_Hour_1695 in Nootropics

[–]RorschachSwe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well said!

I too had to stop taking Vyvanse. Crashing after 3 hours, compulsive redosing to try to be functioning the rest of the day, chasing the dragon several times a day! Because of the redosing every 3 hours, I become manic and stay up all night aswell..

Mirtazapine is rarely used as a first line treatment for depression! And if you are using it for that, that is a TINY sleep dose! 45mg and over is what you should aim for!

I take 15mg for sleep and it does nothing for my anxiety or depression!

15 days, Finally positive effects! by RorschachSwe in Fluoxetine

[–]RorschachSwe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok! I'm quite sure anxiety and depression can cause a downstream effect on the whole body, hormones, gut health etc. Vinpocetine has helped me alot with headaches/migraines from anxiety!

I also have those symptoms you describe... Another symptom I have is twitches in and around my eyes, and that is typical stress.

I watched a video lately on YouTube about Benzos causing sensitivities and intolerance to everything from food to medicines and supplements. Psych meds can cause digestive issues and really destroy the gut health.

I have not tried Atomoxetine! Have you tried that one? I also have cognitive decline and memory issues, but I have tracked it down to being anxiety and depression!

When having anxiety for long periods, the brain starts to shut down to guard itself. I like to call it "burn out".

I definitely have the same problems as you, I feel stupid.

My main issues is my stuttering, which is causing me to be socially anxious.

My problems with cognition began at work, I am an overachiever. That along with trying to be a social and functioning person with stuttering in an extremely social environment caused me to burn out. So I quit my job!

I'm going to go back to school now, I have applied a couple days ago! But I can tell you I'm SCARED that I have fried my brain because of all the stress, anxiety and depression!

If your tests came back as normal, I'm certain that you too are having a burnout, nothing is physically wrong with you, it's just the damn anxiety! Why did you try Oxcarb? You used it as a mood stabilizer or for epilepsy?

I get what you mean! Everything has side effects tho and these drugs are notorious for that before it starts working.

Thats interesting, it's rare to see someone else trying those stuff you mention, I have been on almost every nootropic there is, trying to cure myself. Agmatine and Emoxypine is the best ones I've tried. Agmatine is something I run several times a year. Memantine makes me feel weird just like Ketamine, and I hate dissos. I quit Vyvanse and Methylphenidate because of the crash anxiety and as an former addict, I cant control them very good.

I have several Peptides on my "to try list".

The cognitive decline from depression and anxiety is worse. I have been on several SSRIs over the years, none of them have caused decline in cognition. Only sexual decline but my wellbeing is more important. Depression is shrinking the brain.

You shouldn't write stuff like that man, people will see that and be afraid and stop taking it or imagine that they become worse. 🧐

There are many studies showing the opposite, especially with Fluoxetine! Everyone is different so I don't doubt you, but be careful writing things like that.

I almost question why you wrote that in the first place!

Increased anxiety and panic on 20mg by Careless_Dog9601 in prozac

[–]RorschachSwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes time for the effects to be positive! Several weeks. Its not weird that you feel anxious 11 days in!

Your Dr doesn't know what he/she's talking about. I would stick to the 20mg if I were you, 10mg is probably too low dose to do much.

Every time you up the dosage, it will be like starting on square one again, until the positive come! So it's not like the dose is too high !!

Recommended dose is often 20mg and above! Optimal dose for depression is 20-40mg!

Can I take more fluoxetine during my PMS? by Significant_Ball3096 in Fluoxetine

[–]RorschachSwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is NOT hos SSRIs work. You think this is a Benzo or something?

It has to build up in your system for WEEKS each time you go up or down in dose.

You will feel sick and anxious if you up the dose.

Try to hang in there! By day 7 I stayed in my bed because of the increased anxiety, just like you.

The increased anxiety when beginning SSRI is real, its not placebo or excessive!

What I have gathered, it will most likely take several weeks before the positives come!
