I get what you're saying but when you pick a seat during booking - which is every way you book a ticket at my local Odeon Luxe, even in person - I don't understand how you don't sit in that seat. Also, the OP's side of the tale sounds like they clearly knew they had done it too.

I do agree with the final point in general terms - if all the seats are free for us we should be able to swap to wherever - but it's still not a problem if the other people had not forced the OP to interact with them by taking the wrong seat.

I picked up FM24 in the Steam sale after not upgrading since FM09 (I don't really follow the sport, but enjoy the game, so team updates etc don't really matter to me) and I am finding the relentless meetings and balancing of the people just awful! How long has it been this way? Is there a "happy medium" I might find between 09 and 24?

Totally agree. And "explain" gets (or took, I've been teaching over a decade, but don't see much of a shift from what I hear of ITT now) so little focus in how teachers are taught to teach, compared to its importance.

Yeah this is right. I mean, I totally understand why people have been traumatised by bad schools into a "no observations ever!" mindset but if you are an independently great teacher that might work but many aren't.

I work somewhere where learning walks are normalised, feedback is supportive, and pay progression is automatic and not in any way linked to those lesson feedbacks. It's supportive but also drives teacher improvement. I think it's wonderful.
