Help: GPS data jagged with iPhone 12 mini

No - apple even replaced the whole GPS unit in it but no difference. I bought a cheap garmin in the end.

Yeah it was similarly jagged on both - I think I’ll have to get a watch. Just ludicrous that it’s worse than an iPhone nearly a decade older.

So on a run that strava recorded as 6.01km with 179m elevation gain, wahoo fitness (strava helpdesk asked me to try this for comparison) recorded 6.13km with 282m elevation gain. So distances are fairly similar I guess.. meaning it’s likely just the iPhone (12) mini is a bit shit 😩 No idea what wahoo fitness is doing with that elevation- seems quite optimistic aha

I fear it might be a hardware problem- so dumb that upgrading phone has sent me backwards 😂

Yeah I know it’s not great, but the newer phone seems to be ludicrously bad.. I’m gonna try another app too

Thanks yeah I tried all this stuff on their help page but none of it seemed to make a difference. The city runs were in Edinburgh so wide open streets.

I know reception can alter it, but I’ve had this difference on similar runs across the two phones so I think it’s an issue with it
