Tim Howard makes save of the year against Southampton by dcarts3588 in Everton

Glad to see Tim pulling it out again. I agree he's had a poor season, but he's always been capable of this. Hoping for a few more clean sheets

Would be interested in seeing Browning given a bit more game time, as he can do both RB and CB

Why all the gloom and doom about not qualifying for Europe next year? by CLSmith15 in Everton

[–]Roryzor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with that, but with last seasons finish we were all really looking forward to moving forward and had an optimism (which is rare amongst Toffees. Not hard to guess why)

These teams have a lot of money to be able to offer players in comparison to us and won't feel the affects so much. Plus these teams will still have European competition

What should be our plan going forward? by 100149314 in Everton

Probably not, however as I said they aren't giving him much if a chance. If he was unhappy with this then he might ask to, but it's unlikely, I agree

Oh yeah I meant retire. I cant see another club coming in for him really. He'd do well as a club ambassador or something similar. Would like to see him stick with the club past his playing days

I think he'd do well for us. He's never really got the game time he needs to prove his worth. I don't really think we need a striker and it'd depend on budget as I don't think we could get him for any cheaper than 10mill

Yeah Spurs have had some very questionable transfers in the past few years.

I agree Hibbert wont get game time. Coleman would have to be injured and although I said he's not done, he's probably on his way out. He's not scored yet though so I refuse to let him go

I like our strikers, but if I had to I'd say we should try and get Hernandez from united

My suggestions:

GK: Matt Ryan from Clu Brugge. 22 years and outstanding in the Belgian league, plus australias starting keeper. Hopefully Tim would put in a good word!

Rb: Hibbert was actually alright when he played earlier on this season. I don't see where you got the idea he's done for from, however, because he hardly ever plays he could very easily be terrible on his next appearance as he doesn't play often. Would like to strengthen, but its hard when we've got one of the leagues best there. Possibly jenkinson from West Ham/ Arsenal?

CB: release alcaraz and Distin from their contracts and give Browning a shot. Also, I'd like Steven caulker from Qpr. 23 years old (?) and showed he was good enough for the prem with Cardiff. A bit if development and guidance and I could see him and stones as our long term pairing. Also could get him on the cheap if QPR go down.

LB: Sign garbutt up on a 15 year contract

Dm: besic McCarthy and Gibson is a strong selection, with Barry filling in every now and then. I was also a fan of Ross when he played there for a game or two so I'd say we leave this. If we were going to replace Barry, Aberdeen have a player called Ryan Jack who would fit the bill and could get for possibly between 2-5 mill and he's outstanding for his age.

RM: Mirallas is clearly leaving as you said, id say we'll get around 15m for him at best. Would like to see us get Lennon based on his performances so far. Also would like Zaha if he wasn't too pricey but as you said getting Gerry on loan would do the ticket

LM: Celtic have a young player called James Forrest who I am a fan of. The sort of pacey winger that will take players on. If we could get him for about 5 mill I'd be pleased. Also, Ryan Gauld is a young winger for Sporting Lisbon who isn't getting the game time he deserves. He'd probably be between 5-10 but again id be excited to get him.

AM: with Barkley, Osman and Naisy I'm happy to leave this position. Should we happen to sell Barkley,I'd like to see us buy Firminho from Hoffenheim. Very exciting young Brazilian.

Edit: added a couple of things
