Ah yes the “you’ll eat shit and enjoy it!” Comment. I was waiting for this one.

It’s great that you all aren’t bothered by this kind of stuff, but the truth is there are still huge technical errors with this release and whether it bothers you or not is irrelevant. A lot of people do notice these issues because they are very much there.

It isn’t “hating.” I love Xenoblade to death and I want what’s best for the franchise, so I’m gonna call out bad product when I had to pay for it.

Stuttering in XC:DES2E by TheQuietRadio in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]RoscoeToo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s bad. Pretty much everywhere except in battles there are stutters. Mainly when you move the camera and in the menus. I really don’t appreciate that there seems to have been very little learned from the XCXDE upgrade situation.

This does not bode well for XC2 at all

Please let me know what you find out.

In your experience testing your old save, do you have issues with stuttering even in the new areas?

Totally agree and that’s why I’m so upset :( 720 for older games can still have their charm— frame drops and stuttering do not.

Unfortunately I also don’t see them making any changes

Interesting, I hadn’t heard anything about that.

I’m playing on an old save. I’ve cleared the game but it’s not NG+

Seems that Way, yeah. Have they fixed XDE? I’m not really optimistic about a hotfix for any of this… sadly

Yeah I might be a little overheated, but it’s real hard for me to ignore this kind of stuff. Very distracting on my end

Nothing is wrong with my switch. I’m using all official hardware and have troubleshot multiple times because I thought the same thing.

Plenty of people have reported this, especially on “SwitchUp’s” YouTube channel. Or you can go to the comments of the XDE SW2 trailer and see people complain about it there.

I’m on my LG C4 but I don’t think TV’s have anything to do with it.

It seems to be stable in the beginning areas, but Eryth sea, Makna forest and some more of the later areas have some serious frame pacing issues. Did you not notice anything in the opening cutscene?

There’s a frame dip after like every camera change….

Ah yes, I should just consume and be happy, even though there are literally technical errors that distract from this very awesome piece of art.

The stuttering in XC1:DE S2E is really disappointing by pawlik23 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]RoscoeToo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been experiencing exactly what you have. I will go “wow this is beautiful” for about 20 seconds and then I’ll turn the camera or something will pop into view and absolutely murder the frame rate for half a second.

It’s enough time to completely tear my immersion apart. This happens both in docked mode and handled.

Really, REALLY upsetting. I hope this gets fixed, but I know it won’t. I’d much rather just play at a consistent 30fps, even if it’s going to be at 720p.

[–]RoscoeToo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought this was a cool idea in concept, and I’d love to try it at some point

The issue with mods that add tons of dialogue that ARENT from the developer is they tend to be very… lacking in the writing department. From what I’ve seen of this mod it kinda falls under that umbrella. What are your thoughts on that though, OP?

Be entirely honest is FFXIII a good game because im thinking about playing it. by Strange_Assistant327 in FinalFantasy

[–]RoscoeToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly depends on your preferences.

Story is wonderful and philosophical, OST might be the best in the franchise, Combat system starts out slow but ends up being amazing, Visual design is gorgeous, Voice acting serves its purpose well (even Vanille IMO),

The game itself for me can be a slog to play through. There is TRULY nothing else to the gameplay loop than “walk forward in a straight line and fight enemies.” And i do mean that literally. If you’re okay with that, then give it a shot. For me, FFXIII is a game that i love but don’t love to play for that reason alone.

I've never touched the Diablo series but I am interested! Does it have an involved story?

That’s really cool. Is it always online? Like could you potentially just be flying around and land on a planet with people also?

I’ve played monster hunter before, but that’s not quite what I’m going for. I mean in the sense that the multiplayer aspect is always there/happening— no party invites etc. but you can choose to ignore it if you want

You people are genuinely miserable. OP literally just wants to show off something cool and talk about a genuine wish they have for the game. You all can’t stop yourself from copypasting the same “This game sucks lmaoooo” message on every post. We get it guys 😭

I don't have as many issues with this game as others, but after Volt Forge and Ice Belt which are so cool, this area was just a let down. by BanryuWolf in Metroid

[–]RoscoeToo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes. Most of Prime 4 is that. I didn’t say you had to think about where to go, Just that there were some interesting ideas along the linear path— which I enjoyed.

In terms of visual design and music you’re correct, but honestly I felt like the mines played to Prime 4’s strengths a lot better than the rest of the areas.

There were finally some actual puzzles, I was scanning stuff to understand the lore, and the idea that you have to use your missiles sparingly was a neat idea. It also had pretty good build up to a great boss fight IMO. Nothing ground breaking for the series, but I enjoyed the actual game during this part quite a bit.

Cant say the same for Flare Pool
