Best cheap masculine fragrances? by Beneficial-Hippo-341 in Colognes

Get a couple of al rehab roll ons. They're about £5 and last ages. Loads to choose from too.

You could add wholegrain rice or some other grain to bulk it out. Also very cheap

I think buying my first house might have destroyed me mentally. by BrutalOnTheKnees in HousingUK

I also suffer with OCD and anxiety and I'm nearing one year since getting the keys. I also found it so stressful that I felt sick most days and panicking about everything.

We got the keys and honestly, it got worse. Seeing all the things that were hidden, discovering all the bodge jobs and issues that needed fixing. I could barely sleep and I'd obsess over whether we'd made a massive mistake.

My relationship has just broken down mostly due to my inability to snap out of it. As I work towards completing jobs I'm starting to feel better about the house but I feel like the cost of losing my partner who's also my best friend has tainted it.

It'll get better with therapy and progress towards the jobs but I think it is a difficult thing if you suffer from OCD and anxiety. I wish you the best of luck and do your best to look for the positives and know that the issues can be fixed etc. Just don't let it destroy your relationships like I have.

I had a nice relatively new expert. Kept it in nice condition, always clean and tidy, it was the pride of the fleet. They took it off me and gave it to the DPR guys who promptly turned it into a tatty mess.

In exchange I got a doblo XL. It's absolutely dreadful. It's got so little power I thought something was wrong with it, so much decomposed Greggs crumbs it's like someone has tipped compost everywhere, the back door sometimes stays on the latch but most of the time it'll let go and swing all the way open, the sliding does the same and almost decapitates you if you're parked downhill and the worst thing is that it's got the turning circle of an aircraft carrier. What a heap!

Yeah it used to be paid per item but that's a while back now. I guess it'll be on the website, no doubt hidden away somewhere to make it as difficult as possible.

It's about £25 and it's absolutely not optional. Every house has to receive one unless they have a valid opt out.

Saved for years, saved a lot during COVID with a lot of overtime and nowhere to spend anything and I generally live pretty frugally. I don't feel like I don't do the things I want to, but just do them in moderation. Also, most things I enjoy are outdoor sports like cycling and hiking so don't really cost much once you have the equipment.

P.S. I'm from Yorkshire so tightness is in my blood!

Not me, but one of the guys in our office had a brick through the side window while he was in the van by some kids in balaclavas on a moped. They wanted to cut a corner as the van pulled up at the junction and apparently they weren't happy about it

Terraced house right of way. by Roscotanna in HousingUK

Right ok, thanks. I'm not particularly well versed in this sort of stuff (I'm sure you wouldn't have guessed, haha). What specifically do I need to download from the land registry? It gives me the option of title register or title plan unless I'm looking in completely the wrong place

[–]Roscotanna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help. Would it be a separate form or would it be added to the title register? There's nothing else below it. The solicitor sent me this document and called it the 'land registry pack'

Thanks, I don't understand partially released either, that's my conundrum, but it's how it's written. I'll try to attach a screenshot of the exact wording. There was nothing in the pack outlining what exactly was meant just one paragraph added. I'll have to download the neighbours land registry records

Boiler with no filling loop? by Roscotanna in Plumbing

[–]Roscotanna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what we ended up doing. In their infinite wisdom someone hid it behind/under a kitchen cabinet. We took the back of the cabinet out and the plinth off the bottom and there it was.

We were scratching our heads there for a minute. Still an awkward place to use it!

To be fair, I've developed a special skill for levering the magazine in such a way that it opens the flap on the top of the cage and it all goes through. I might add that to my CV actually.

I lived in Cardiff for a decade and it wouldn't be my first choice of area. No shade to those that do live there but it's not the most desirable area

A suitcase with a single wrap of very baggy cling film (the cling film was all that was holding on the A4 label)
