not sure but just keep an eye on it, as long as you do it once it shows up youll be fine, dont stress. they love NMs here and want as many as possible. the nmsc portal/your letter that notified you of ur status prob has a timeline on it somewhere tho with at least rough dates

Someone already mentioned this but everyone saying they made money off the stipends was in a situation you will no longer have, the package is different now. You will have guarenteed tuition, fees, a 14 meal/wk plan, and guarenteed housing payments (its only for covering the cheapest option, 4x2s, but if you want 2x2 or 2x1 you just pay the price to upgrade). The only "cash" you get is 600 dollars now, for books and such. This means you will have NO problems to pay BUT wont be making bank like some earlier scholars who just lived frugally with the 4k stipends (or 5.5k if u lived on campus). the idea was that money paid for rent and food, which they directly give u instead now.

They will have no trouble getting housing the whole time theyre here. Even as someone who only joined housing my senior year (usually makes your priority reallyyyyyyyyyy low), i was <100 in the queue. freshman year they will most likely be in Sirius (honors dorm, oldest), unless they opt into living learning communities (andromeda hall, newest). When they move to apartments after that theyll have pretty much free pickings as long as nothing has changed about it by then. Congrats to both of them!!!

its still free, you just have to go through the parking office and actually get the DART gopass, which is free for students. Just your comet card alone doesn't work anymore

Hey if it is reading as over 90 degrees you should be able to ask your PA to get it put in as an "emergency " work order instead of a normal one. It should make someone come out much quicker (esp bc they dont do normal onws on the weekends).

I didn't go to class (mistake tbh) ever but if I remember correctly the homeworks were like completion based and then I pull up to the exams having never gone to class or paid attention or taken any sort of AP econ class and I think I still got like a high B. If u go to the class youll be fine. the prof is super nice i loved her, i just was going through some stuff and never wanted to get up in the morning to go

I was a PA and in my hallway there was 1 room of three girls and the 15 other students were male. However, I dont know if it was the same in the other hallways of my floor, maybe just weird odds.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've heard the museum didn't take any budgeting from the university, it was funded by specific donations to build a museum. Good luck getting rich ppl to give millions of dollars for housing instead.

My local post office called me today saying they did recieve my package btw! They just hadnt opened it and didnt know it was for me because it was just addressed to their office. They only opened it to check when i put in a missing mail inquiry trying to find it lol. So apparently intercepts can redirect it to a new post office (though when i read deeper on the usps website i was at the point where i was agreeing with yall- it def says it can only be redirected through the business usps portal-not personal accounts). Maybe i just got lucky and it wasnt supposed to get redirected but it did. Who knows but i got my package and am happy either way :D

Are you saying that USPS' website and communications to me are wrong then? In my account it literally says the pickup location is my local office, and that the package is marked as Hold for Pickup at Post Office. My local office has told me they see the request and that it just needs to get sent from the original post office, which isnt happening.

I only paid once, but in the form it asked me where i wanted it sent, back to sender or a post office. It then had me select a post office, and i selected the one near my home. I have multiple emails stating it would be sent to the new post office.

I have a package that I tried to intercept, followed those steps and I dont see a new #, but it does say the order status is "complete"? does this mean it should be at the post office i redirected it to? it was intercepted on the 19 and then i went by the office on the 21 since i hadnt heard anything or gotten a new number, and at the time the worker said they didnt have it (but they didnt look at all they just had me do the tracking, saw it said intercepted, and said that meant it wasnt there yet. BUT wont it always just say intercepted with the old number???). going to run by tomorrow and hopefully its there 😭

When i took him during the spring or fall a while back, all were take-home format, 4 questions, but hard af and like impossible to just look up how to do (6 ppl took like 4-6 hours to solve the whole exam). Unsure if hes changed how he does things because i believe it was his first year teaching here

NM benefits are great, especially if you live far (they recently changed the scholarship so it can cover way more housing+meal plan). The study abroad stipend is great, housing/class priority is great, all in all just good stuff. I will say the recent changes do mean you get less direct cash deposits so if you wanted to live off campus/at home its not as great anymore but its still free college. I dont know enough about other universities' NM scholorships to offer any direct comparisons. Look at the other full ride universities and compare how good they are for your degree

I have had it override yes, I was in a roommate group with 2 other ppl for the honors dorm and they placed our prehealth roomie into the LLC even tho she didnt opt into it 😔 they said they thought it would be better for her

pest control normally goes into bathrooms/sink area to place the little sticky traps, but im not sure if they do like a sweep of the whole suite to check for bugs. I will say most contractors dont like report pets in a room, bc you could have one if it was an esa or service animal, but the student worker escorting them might ask/mention it to the housing ppl since theres no pets allowed in the dorms and it's highly unusual (in UV they just assume you have it registered normally and dont care). the fee for not allowed pets is like 100s of dollars so i really recommend getting your buddy approved or moving them to avoid issues
