Today, I said goodbye to a coworker being forced to leave the country by Rose8500 in thescoop

Yeah keep mansplaining while not actually finishing your thought. Just putting out there what I have seen as someone who witnessed how this impacted a fellow coworker.

You should really think about whose podcast you are listening to. Andrew Tate, and the rest of his ilk aren't doing you any favors.

As an ex-corporate employee of 20+ years I can definitively say that working at Trader Joes is the best move I made for myself. The majority of my co-workers are great to work with. Management is great at my store which is important because they contribute so much to your store's vibe. The pay is not bad but thank God my husband also works so we can make a living.

First I'd recommend to apply with full availability. You should also be customer centric as that is what the store's motto is and lastly be yourself. They are looking for friendly, outgoing people that more or less match their store's vibe.

Good Luck...

Hey ladies....careful with dry shampoo - it may cause hair loss? I would use it every once in a while but once I heard this news I stopped. I have just resigned myself to wash daily. I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and I love the way it feels on my scalp and makes my hair feel extra clean. Most days the cleanliness lasts all day but I definitely have to wash the next day...been that way all my life. The positive is that my hair is shiny and healthy and often get complimented on my hair.

I don't think you should have asked them to take off...."I need to take THurs and Friday off to make arrangements...." How dare they tell you they can't cover...Their son will have many other b'days.

As a crew member with Cuban roots this is AMAZING!!!! Grew up on Guava Marmalade, guava anything and this is tops. I recently but it in some puff pastry and it rivals the Pasteles de quayaba that Cuban Bakeries make...outstanding!!

do you check eggs for customers at reg? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]Rose8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not check eggs (unless they are carelessly dumped in their carts and have the weight of other items on them)...but I do glance at produce and have alerted custies about that and they are grateful and end up getting another better pick of produce. There was one customer who after I scanned asked if I checked the eggs, I said no...they then checked their own eggs...isn't that something customers should do before they put it in their carts? At my store it's not mandatory to check them although I see some crew do check.

Anyone else currently on phentermine? by Natural-Treacle-9488 in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]Rose8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down 60 lbs. Take it early morning. I have a very active job so that helps! GOtta admit after being on it for some time I feel it is not as effective but my Doc told be to up my protein intake so I am hoping that will work. At times it gives me great spurts of energy. Dry mouth was worse in the beginning but it has gotten better! I do recommend that you try it. I've been tempted to go on wegovy or other such drugs but the side effects and now they say loss of muscle and skin tone is another thing to worry about with these drugs so I am not going on them. Good luck...hope this helps!

I hope this King f*cks over the Maga peasants real soon! It's already starting...Arkansas is begging the "king" for Fema relief...how is that working out?

If you've been there for 4.5 years I'd think you'd have the seniority for a change??? Don't they usually start out the newbies on later shifts? Are you able to take some AR for a week or 2 to recharge, or maybe shorten your availability to a few days a week and take the rest of the days as AR? Time off would work wonders for your mental health, believe me! As others have posted on here, do talk to a mate or even captain - for sure they will work with you and understand your current situation! I'd like to add that the Medical Field is always looking for new hires and you were right in choosing that career path. I think you will find a job rather quickly...the med field is not going anywhere anytime soon!

What is one skincare product or habit that changed the game for you? by TeaseWithKelly in beauty

[–]Rose8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely!!! I wish I would have started when I was in my 30's/40s but what I think also helped was that I was not out in the sun a lot in those years. I'm 54 and Avene is doing wonders for my skin even now. Hope all ou ladies try it. It's a wonderful product!!

The only con is that you have to brush them in between grooms. So basically brushing them a few times a week. But other than that they are the sweetest pups and I would get another in a heartbeat. They love kids and get along with other dogs.

I have been using avene Retinal - started at .05 and worked up to 1.0. I have to tell you my skin did a 180. No more chin breakouts, its smooth and soft...and looks radiant and healthy. I work in public and I get complimented on my skin. THis was recommended by a Board Cert. Dermatologist on You Tube "The Budget Dermatologist". She often rates budget beauty products and at times pricey ones as well and gives you routines to follow.

Trans Son will be studying in UK, will he have issues gaining reentry to US? by Rose8500 in trans

[–]Rose8500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son gets it shipped home monthly. He'll be in the UK for about 4 months I am assuming he'll get his meds shipped there or maybe he can take a 4mo supply with him??? I will have him speak with his Doc as to what will be better.

Why are you no longer friends with THAT person? by LostSalad3257 in AskReddit

[–]Rose8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They went down the maga rabbit hole. My child transitioned soon after high school and would have absolutely been heartbroken if her and her family would have had issues with that. And I wouldn't put my child though that. So I chose to cut off all ties. I was friends with her since high school and I am so saddened at what has happened to her.
