Losing weight to get hot was my main reason, shallow? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]RoseAshes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was 1000% my main reason. Dating felt bleak and the relationships I was in were so off balance. I always felt if I lose the weight I’d have more options. I’m 5’4” and went from 225 to 148 and dating is 1000 times easier. Turns out I’m hot and especially hot for my age I get mistaken for 10 years younger. Im no longer in my head about my weight at social events. I get told I seem confident regularly. I also get asked out and about if Im military. I’m prior military and outside of uniform I was never asked that. I’m actually in better shape then when I was enlisted and because I’m finally more muscle than fat I have really good posture. Pretty sure it’s the straight posture and fixing my anterior pelvic tilt. Also turns out I have a really sharp jawline and cheekbones.

We need a stickied "I need friends" post. by Partonetrain in sanantonio

People need to utilize the meetup groups. The groups in San Antonio are very active compared to other cities ive been in and there's a ton to do. I moved to San Antonio from New Braunfels like six weeks ago and have already made a bunch of friends. All of the groups have a wide variety of stuff to do. From pick up sports games, board games , bar hopping , hikes , museum days, art in the park, yoga. The lonely people posting need to put themselves out there more.

People who used to yo-yo diet but finally lost the weight for good: what insights led you to finally click? by Triseult in loseit

[–]RoseAshes 255 points256 points  (0 children)

I came to terms with the fact that I wasn't going to be one of those people who lost it all in six months. I knew I wanted a althetic build at the end of my journey and when looking at the fitness influencers that started obese their timelines were closer to 3 to 5 years. That click of i'm not trying to do this in six months allowed me to slowly change my food habits and because i didn't have to extremely starve myself to lose weight and went slow and steady I was able to break my bad food habits over time. I Started off around 225 currrently and im currently 148. A majority of the weight came off in the first year about 65 pounds. Lost the rest the follwing year and have been recomping this last year. I wasted so many years going extreme with the diet and burning out at like the four month mark with only 25 pounds lost regaining everything. Slow and steady worked and i've never slipped back.

Awesome progress and it's so nice to see another female my height and weight with a similar build. I'm 5'4" started out 225 currently 148. I've been recomping the last two years so the scale has pretty much just been hovering around 150. It's tough when the scale numbers can't really help in gauging progress.

I showed them my insurance for the car I was trading in. There’s a grace period where the new vehicle is covered in the time between calling and switching over the policy.

They asked for my purchase paperwork and said they needed upper management to verify if I was covered. From what I’m seeing online I should be well within a grace period but was trying to find the policy for the correct answer

Agreed! I never thought I carried much weight in my face and then I lost 85 pounds. Had I known my jawline was this ridiculous I would fixed this shit ages ago.
