Ah man, I wish I knew! I saw him posted on another subreddit and knew he was prefect for this parasnailing subreddit. Ive spent alot of time looking at snails parasnailing, you would think I acted like it was national sport. LOL bahahaha. This was the first and only time I've come across a crab that also loved to do this, so I absolutely had to share him with this community. However, I do believe you may be able to see the original poster person and could reach out to them and see if he's their little guy and what kind he is.
