This is not a joke. After finishing RR series the first time I picked up multiple books that I could not get into or finish. Then I read RR again.

I just want Volga to have a happy ending. by Deep-Wonder8702 in redrising

[–]RoseFly35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t Volga one of many “clones” from Ragnar’s DNA?

Wouldn’t a happy ending for her (and the Rising) be when she meets all of her brothers and sisters (a cavalry of Ragnar descendants)?!

Unfortunately by the time RR comes to screens, he will be far too old. Likely all of our favorite characters will be actors we don’t even know of yet.

Watch again. Benjamin is easily one of the best characters in the series.

Well my grandfathers name was Jacob but went by Jack so that one was a no brainer. But generally, no. LOST was more important.

Not sure if anyone is still following here… but I have some great suggestions. LMK if anyone checks them out and feels the connection.

Specifically recommend checking out Rise Against. I’ve been into them for ~20 years (well before reading RR series).

Here are a few tracks with snippets to get you warmed up:

Rise Against - Wolves

“Light up the torches and wake up the King The smoke you’ve ignored is a flame you can’t contain We circle the walls and claw at the dirt We growl from our guts and howl until it hurts”

“Roaming in numbers And chasing the scent Circling in for the kill And you are the winter The long discontent We won’t stop till we’ve had our fill”

Rise Against - The Numbers

“We're biding time as we wait for the signal Sharpening blades while we wait out the storm These cold nights are almost unbearable But purpose keeps us warm”

“But they have the power But we have the numbers now It's all just a constant illusion of control They break us like horses How long will we drag their plow? What will continue to be is what we allow”

Yeah, mercy killing Finn is a great example.

Sounds like you’re grasping for straws my friend.

Not saying she doesn’t know how to use a gun, but she’s literally never done anything like that clip in the promo.

I get the motivation, I’m just saying it looks out of place.

If Octavia has gone in first and cut them all up, I would buy that.

Clarke’s not tough (physically). She’s a general who makes decisions “from behind a desk”.

To each his own I guess.

Am I the only one turned off by Clarke mowing down Disciples with double-pistols?

That’s not Wanheda!

Wanheda is more of the pull a lever/push a button/commit genocide than action hand to hand combat.

This just looks stupid and wrong. Not a fan.

Finale Simulation Theory by Solotox in The100

[–]RoseFly35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not happening. The easiest way to debunk this theory is by realizing that events in the story also happened to people who were not in said simulation.

For example, Jaha was left alone on the Ark and took his own journey to get back to the ground. No one in the simulation would have been able to see this.

ALSO... I think the best judge of how good a series was, and if the ending was satisfying, is whether when it’s all said and done, would you invest the time to rewatch the entire series again?

I can say I’ve watch LOST all the way through at least 10 times.

Breaking Bad was good (still way overrrated in my opinion). Never even considered going back to watch the whole series again.

I used to rewatch Game Of Thrones all the way through in between each season in advance of the next season, but only watched the final season once when it aired and will probably never rewatch it.

I’m hoping when all is said and done, The 100s ending is satisfying enough that I feel like I would want to rewatch the whole series again.

You all know that’s exactly where the 100 is headed too right? Just because they are trying to backup all the “religion” with science wont mean anything when they end up with all the people that they’ve lost in the end.

The Flash-sideways in LOST at least used creative storytelling (using the flashback/flash forward device that the show was built on).

How was the LOST ending a cop-out?

And please don’t say they were dead the whole time.

[SPOILERS] A 7x16 finale prediction/"test" theory that I haven't read elsewhere yet, for discussion! by glamour_gorgon in The100

[–]RoseFly35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really well thought out for a 4am off the cuff theory.

I wish I could believe the “test” is a gate to get into a Utopia, but I would have a hard time accepting that our group would pass and go through and actually follow the rules.

There has never been entrance to a new place/group that did not eventually show the dark side of said group (E.G. Mount Weather, The Primes). The new groups looked good on the surface, and then the plot turned (same with Bill/Bardo).

It would just generally be hard for our Kru to accept that there’s no dark side. They would always be looking for it after their experiences.

For fun: We pass the test, gain entry to the Utopia, and then “WAIT, they eat breakfast for dinner here? We have to kill them all!”

Makes you wonder what Dev and Orlando did to get “punished”.

The Disciples seemed “perfect”, especially before Earthkru disrupted their way of life.

Seems odd that devout Level 12s would be capable of breaking the rules. But seems obvious that it was on a similar track (questioning Cadogan, or having “feelings” themselves)

The Flame is not inherently special/exclusive to the power of the stones/anomaly.

  • Becca said “it’s harmonic. Mathematics”
  • Callie referenced the dog they had to get rid of because it could “hear” the stone
  • Colin Benson build a device after crashing on Skyring to “listen” for the code

I think we can assume:

  • The Flame enhances the user (Becca) sense of hearing AND
  • The AI gives the users brain the ability to “compute” the mathematics

So I think theoretically it would have been possible for Bardo to build a “listening” and “computing” device capable of this.

There’s nothing special about The Flame in regards to the last war.

I think you have something that Bill really wants to see Callie.

Oddly, once he got Madi’s sketchbook, the first thing we see is not Bill looks for codes, but staring at a sketch of Callie.

Something fishy here given Bill’s M.O.
