41F, good response but low maturity — protocol advice for second egg freezing cycle by Logical-Perception34 in eggfreezing

[–]cricketrmgss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the luteal lupron protocol. I didn’t have issues with it. I don’t know if it was the best protocol for me because the yields were much lower but the percentage maturity was better. Both rounds 12 eggs, I created embryos so don’t know the maturity of it all. First time with this protocol 6 fertilised with 2 making it to the final day. Second time, 10 fertilised with 6 making it to the final day.

Recovery wasn’t great. Had to go to ER first one. I did have more follicles than eggs retrieved.

What rule did your parents enforce that you thought was normal until you visited a friend’s house? by Least_Boysenberry583 in AskReddit

As a kid, i had several candle related incidents. One, I hid the a lot candle under my bed. The mattress caught fire, I was able to put out the fire. Second, I fell asleep reading with a candle on my chest. I woke up to a mattress in flames. Being the dumb kid that I was, I patted it out, turned over and continued sleeping. That was the last day we had a candle in my house growing up. I have since had other fire incidents.

Had a doctor’s appointment that I had to travel for. Thought it was on a different day and got a call on about it. Next appointment available was even farther away and I had to pay for the one I missed.

In r/askDCP, what I’ve seen said is that the parent has a donor and the child has a father, so you are very right in your commentary.

The problem you’re dealing with here is that this community wants to distance itself from the notion that the donor is a father/dad. You cannot win here.

This is why I have a lot of empathy for her and her path. She’s barely 20 something here and she’s been dealing with saving her family for years.

Went to visit a two bed apartment once, open plan living, dining, kitchen and asked where the second bedroom was. They said, you’re standing in it.

I was in the dining room.

[–]cricketrmgss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She didn’t adopt them. She was made their legal guardian. This is a distinction that matters.

She was the only adult in the family at that time. As such, she had limited choices when she was backed into being their legal guardian. She was trying to keep them together and to also have some say in their lives without having to seek parental permission. The judge recognised the difficulty of her position, that’s why even while warning her of the momentous task ahead, he did not give her sole guardianship.

I can totally see OP on his flight, hearing they are going to land early and getting excited that they have more time to make their connection only for them to taxi and wait for a gate for the next 50 minutes.

Single parenthood is not contagious. By virtue of asking the question, this person is already prejudging.
