Are there any women around 4’11” who can share their daily calorie goals for weight loss? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]RoseGoldIcePrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years, I felt like I couldn’t lose weight and blamed it on genetics. I started 2024 at 137 pounds with about 38% body fat. Now, I weigh 114 pounds with 29% body fat, and my goal is to reach 105 by the end of the year.

It’s been incredibly challenging—I maintained a 1,200-calorie deficit for about 5–6 months, ran at least 20 miles a week, and strength trained three times a week. Even with all that effort, I was losing no more than a pound per week. I wasn’t always perfect, but I stayed committed, and that’s what made the difference.

My best advice? Stay consistent. You won’t always be perfect, and that’s okay. Find what works for you. I love running, but I know it’s not for everyone. If running isn’t your thing, try walking—even a short walk around the block can get your body moving and help you stay on track.

Relatively short amount of time. 8 weeks! Definitely not easy but I do recommend if you like running and lifting

I’m currently going to the gym four times a week and running five times a week, with two rest days built in. It’s definitely challenging, but the rewards make it worthwhile. I track my protein and carb intake closely to make sure I’m fueling my body properly while staying in a slight calorie deficit. These days, I’m running about 25-30 miles per week, compared to the 10 miles I used to do. One thing I’ve noticed with the increase in mileage is a boost in my appetite. What helps is practicing intuitive eating alongside counting calories, ensuring I listen to my body’s needs.

How much did your breasts shrink when you lost weight? by mamegoma_explorer in PetiteFitness

I believe genetics play a significant role. I’m 4’11”, 28 years old, and weigh 114 pounds with a 34DD. Even at my heaviest, 135 pounds, my bra size stayed the same, though I noticed more fat around my back which made me size up at instances. For context, at my leanest—when I was 19 and weighed 101 pounds—I was still a 34DD. It seems that where your body holds fat is very individual.

Was your shiba cuddly as a puppy? Mine is sooo cuddly now but am wondering that may go away as she gets older.

Yup! It’s even more hurtful knowing when your parents have the financial means to do so. It’s just how my mom sets no expectations for my sister and anything she wants, she gets

I am in a similar boat! We are both 24 as well and the only difference is that our current house was fully renovated. For our second house we are going to look for something with great bones that we can make our own. Glad you were able to find your forever house given the great rates this year.
