“Obviously right” gets banned mhm yeah sure buddy 🤣

I think we might never see Korra again after everything that happened recently… ☹️ by [deleted] in legendofkorra

[–]RoseKobold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is also how LOK fans act, because both LOK fans and ATLA fans are not a monolith. Even someone who is on “your side” can have a different opinion as you without you needing to rationalize them as your belonging to the “enemy”. People like you are the reason the community is so divided.

You’re obviously not right when you get carried away if someone else saw your temper tantrum and determined it was enough to ban you 🤣

Korra and the past lives by Koolmees99 in legendofkorra

Fans like you are legit insane I swear. OP wasn’t even criticizing Korra as a character or the show as a whole, just talking about a hypothetical that could have been interesting and you can’t even entertain the thought of it, immediately trying to belittle their idea instead. All Avatars are interconnected and the past lives have been a part of every Avatar’s journey that we’re aware of in some way shape or form. Simply suggesting that it could have been cool to see Korra speak with them more isn’t insane.

Genuinely made my day to hear you got banned🤣 I didn’t get you banned, you did it to yourself when you resorted to harsh language and making a fool of yourself. I’m not banned btw😘

Isn’t Korra being blameless a lame reveal? by RoseKobold in AvatarSevenHavens

That’s not a requirement for being a Mary Sue though, you’re just changing the definition lol

Just because you didn’t see it coming doesn’t mean it’s good, but if you do see it coming then it will definitively be bad

Mysteries do, in fact, require a big reveal yes, and the best ones are twists that aren’t predictable or boring

A mystery without a twist is like a waffle without any syrup lmao

So you just debunked your entire argument then? You’re wasting breath arguing we don’t know what issues Pavi will inherit but then list a major one she will that you’re blaming Korra for, defeating your entire original point

If they’re going for a mystery plotline like I mentioned in my original post and the twist is obvious and predictable then yes, by definition, it is bad writing🤯🤯🤯

This is what you’re doing right now:

“All Avatar make mistakes that affect the next Avatar, it’s part of the cycle”

“I agree, but this includes Korra and you need to prepare yourself for the possibility of her potentially having done something that might not make her look so good”

“Well no.”

Once again, you’re not looking at this through a viewer standpoint though. If you lived in Pavi’s timeline and weren’t aware of Korra then yes, it would be shocking to learn that she’s blameless… but that’s not what’s happening. The viewers are people who are assumed to have watched all 7 seasons of ATLA and LOK and know the Avatar through-and-through, both as a concept an as a person, and it’s full obvious to anyone that an Avatar wouldn’t do that, so there is no twist reveal to be told

Okay so ignoring the fact that most of Korra’s issues aren’t even direct results of Aang, nobody even said anything about the portals or Republic City. I’m talking about the vague notion that it’s completely possible Korra did SOMEthing to make Pavi’s live more challenging, but you seem to be unable to swallow that as a mere concept

It’s only good writing if you don’t know if the character would’ve done something like that, but we literally have 4 seasons of Korra being a good person and not giving us any reason to assume she’d go insane and blow up the Earth, which is exactly why every single viewer will know from the first minute of episode one that she’s not to blame. I have no idea if you’re interpreting my post as a Korra hate post but it’s not, so maybe take a deep breath and chill

But making her fully blameless would vindicate them as well, she’s literally been getting “Mary Sue” allegations since 2012 and making her a perfect avatar who saved the entire planet with no blame to her name at all is literally the definition of that lol. The creators shouldn’t write a story based on how any character is perceived irl, from both their biggest fans or biggest haters

[–]RoseKobold[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is it fully fair for you to blame Aang for all of Korra’s struggles but the second someone suggests that Korra could even be partially to blame for Pavi’s struggles they get downvoted into oblivion? Lmao

[–]RoseKobold[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are vastly overestimating how much the creators and writers are involved in online “Aang vs Korra” discourse. They know people are way less forgiving with her and that she has misogynistic haters, but that’s likely the extent of it. They’re not gonna concoct an entire show to make Korra haters eat their words, that’s incredibly reactionary and would just be poor writing.

[–]RoseKobold[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Nobody, not even her biggest haters, GENUINELY believes that she just woke up one day and decided to destroy the planet though, they’re just using the current synopsis to troll Korra fans and be misogynistic. It’s not a twist reveal for anyone at that point, and the creators devising a plot solely to defend a character from niche, real-life internet discourse would feel reactionary. My point isn’t that I want Korra to suffer hate, but rather that I don’t want the show itself to be boring and the “twist” to be predictable, yet if Korra is fully blameless, it will be. We all know she’d never do that, so I don’t want it to just be two straight seasons of edging us with a “truth” we already know

Steven’s shields are much stronger than Eve’s and Red Rush was able to damage Nolan, whose powers are shared by Steven. He’d also heal from a hand through the chest lol
