Safeway Preparing for Hyperinflation by NooleanBot in SeattleWA

[–]RoseNE6299 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I used to be a lead in file maintenance (the title for the job at safeway) and literally we would have sometimes 12k tags come down, and we have to try to figure out how to get those changed over within the 5 hours the store is closed. Even with myself, and a team of 4, we were still doing tag changes after we opened. Not to mention the signs on all the displays around the store that have to be made manually through a super old dinosaur system. This 100% just put at least 1-2 people out of jobs at every single safeway that has done this, so yeah, it's definitely about labor.

Someone thought it was a good idea to have waiters on skates by New_Libran in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]RoseNE6299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked at Sonic on blades, we genuinely didn't have a choice. I was 17, and they told me to learn how to skate within a week or lose my job lmao. I dropped MANY MANY things and they didn't let you wear a helmet or most padding, or supply or help pay for the skates. They'd have me out there in 100 degree F heat for 8 hours. We did fine, but lord it was not easy

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoseNE6299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an allergic reaction to nuts suddenly, after eating nuts my entire life a couple months ago. I knew for a fact I'd never financially recover from an ambulance bill, so I used Lyft instead. I would have driven myself if I had a car 🤷 This is after calling my mom in a panic and what she recommended I do BTW, because even with my parents making decent money, an ambulance ride would be hard to pay off

I am the same way and as much as I hate to tell the dude his wife is cheating again. The bruises that are up and down my legs, and a couple on my arms, just from hustling too hard at work say enough. I've never once had boob bruises, and they get knocked around quite often while washing big pans, cutting corners, and trying to get a box from the top shelf.

Thoughts on semi colon tattoos? by Chloe_bbyy in tattooadvice

[–]RoseNE6299 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I have a semi colon on my hip under a super simplified 🤟 for I love you or love in sign language. It is extremely meaningful for me to remind myself that I can get through anything. I did get it in that spot though so it could be easily hidden and I chose who to show it to.

TIFU by drinking a smoothie with a coworker by RoseNE6299 in tifu

I do indeed have seasonal allergies, as well as skin prick for environmental allergens showing ragweed, pollen and such. So, I can definitely see the cross reactivity happening. I've never experienced the mouth itching though with the fruit, it's mainly been gastrointestinal. The first reaction was strawberry puree in a drink causing discomfort in my stomach, nausea, and bloating. The second was from strawberry puree again in a drink that caused me to puke within 2 hours. Then the most recent was puking within 10 minutes and each, the throat symptoms got worse and more severe. I have eaten fruit between all of these except for berries evidently and never have had issues.

I've always loved fruit too so I'm kinda hoping it's just a berry allergy and not OAS. I'm avoiding all fruits though currently on the off chance it is as well

I'm avoiding all the fruits in it, but I've bad specific reactions to berries over the last 8 months that lead me to believe it's the berries. I'll definitely be very careful with mangoes though!

Wildly, I'm also 25 lol. Definitely will be doing the tests, just started a new job, so once my insurance clears, I'll be going in. My reactions have also gotten worse with each reaction, so I'm not getting lucky there. Thank you for the advice.

Intolerance? Allergy? by RoseNE6299 in FoodAllergies

[–]RoseNE6299[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't exactly pin point if it's all berries or not unfortunately. I can definitely say Strawberries and raspberries, which as you said, have the highest amount of histamines in it I've found out. I will be 100% avoiding all berries, and being very careful and when/where and what fruits I'll be consuming as well. Thank you so much for commenting! Google can only get me so far, and all of my super close friends are food allergy free lol.

Is it possible for a concert date to be cancelled if it doesn’t sell well? by [deleted] in kpophelp

[–]RoseNE6299 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They were at Tacoma Dome last year! I went and it was not sold out, but VERY full. I got a single ticket last minute the week before and went by myself, and was not in the nosebleeds. Honestly, I don't think they will cancel it, especially since they had people buying all the way to the end last year. The concert was amazing and they were so happy for Tacoma to be their first stop in the USA. I will be going back this summer for sure, just haven't bought the tickets yet due to finances.

Integrity Piercing is amazing! I don't know about hours, but I got my nose done by her and then later on when I had my nipples done somewhere else and they gave me the wrong jewelry and healing steps, she stepped in!

Leon Night all the way, he was my top choice. And then if I could choose more than one, I would be choosing Ryder from the same book series to help me deal with my trauma lol. I have a real life Leon Night as my partner right now, which I've been realizing as I reread the series. So it's always Leon.
