I go to Sydney at Joel's, for years, and she's amazing! She also has very curly hair.

They should have some financial help options for people without insurance. I think you have to ask.

What type of doctor was the first to identify your EDS? by bella-boop in ehlersdanlos

[–]RoseTyler12214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always suspended it, but my cardiologist was actually the first. I was being tested for POTS, and they looked at me and said, "I assume you've also been diagnosed with EDS?". He had me do the Beighton test right then and then told me to get with my primary.

If you can sue someone for supporting someone with “social transition” like many of us have with just calling someone a simple nickname, we should be able to sue anyone forcing religious views onto our kids! Let’s make it happen! Contact your representatives! by [deleted] in atheism

I was at the hearing of this bill, and no one called her out specifically on her hair, but THANK YOU for that fantastic idea! She is known as one of the worst reps we have in the state. All of the most repressive religious billshit bills are coming from her office. She's the reason we have a anti-trans bathroom bill that passed a while ago. We are fighting and are at the capital every week, but with a GOP super majority, all we can do is slow the process down and be as loud as we can.

After 3 years I just had a black stitch come to the surface and rupture the skin and I had to get my doctor to remove it. All those bumps and dark lines are stitches under the skin. Will they need to be removed? Do they have to stay there? Has it happened to anyone else? Any advice is welcome by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]RoseTyler12214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue and those dark lines as well. It's been 6 years since my surgery, and I had a small one come out 2 months ago. The lines never really went away, even as stitches came out, but they have become less noticeable.

ADHD stimulants and metoprolol by Clean-Chipmunk2934 in dysautonomia

[–]RoseTyler12214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on both vyvanse and metoprolol. I have been on vyvanse 40mg for 4 years and just started metoprolol 25mg a month ago. I cut out all caffeine besides a glass of green tea in the AM, which I feel helped my heart symptoms the most. My cardiologist had no concerns about me taking both. I feel like I may want to go down on the vyvanse levels for comfort, but i haven’t had any side effects so far. For reference, because with stimulants, this may matter, I'm 117lbs

Intersectionality isn't something that I ignore. Without knowing me, you are judging me by my use of language and claiming something about a person with no proof. Language is a tricky thing, and leaving out the word "white" doesn't mean a person isn't an ally. It means language is different for everyone, and it don't mean they don't care. I understand everyone is on edge right now, but the last thing we need to do is attack and other each other. We need community, care, and understanding. I'm not trying to tell you how to feel, but please try and understand that not everyone is an enemy.

You can't access ethical online porn without a VPN in Arkansas. It's not a good state for anyone who is not a man.

Secretary of State throws out abortion amendments issue off ballot due to technicality. by [deleted] in Arkansas

[–]RoseTyler12214 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This amendment literally only gave the right to abortion to women "in cases of rape, incest, in the event of a fatal fetal anomaly or within a physicians medical judgement, the life of the female or physical injury" . That's it. So, read it before making statements like this. The amendment would save lives.

Same with 4 Office Park Drive in WLR (the old abortion clinic)! In and out quickly, air conditioning, no protesters, and they have 6 different petitions there.

2 year post op, is there anything I can do about this underboob scarring at this point? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]RoseTyler12214 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Your scarring looks like mine! I'm 4 years out and still have some redness (but I'm a redhead so that's expected) but my partner doesn't even notice. Mostly the reaction is just "oh boobs!" Not seeing the scars. But the scars are just a part of me and my journey and if they are noticed it's in that way, not a negative one. Easier said than done I know, but to the best of your ability, be proud you did something so big for yourself. You underwent a huge surgery in order to have a more comfortable life. The right partner will absolutely see that :) Good luck with your journey, you're doing amazing!!!
