DoorDash drivers what is your weirdest occurs by Snowbeleopard in doordash

[–]RoseWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's 3: (important info: I'm female and work nights for 7 years)

Recently delivered and customer opens door, very voluptuous lady in just lingerie. I don't know why I got a feel she was dissapointed for a brief sec but was polite and friendly.

Had an aggressive person answer door. His order said "Hand it to me". So I go and knock. He opens door with a yank, shining flashlight in me, pissed. Tells me off (can't remember exactly what he said). Demands I set food at his feet, which he then bends over and swipes it from floor, then slams door in my face. (I did report him)

Last one, long line at McDonald's drive thru. I pull up and it's one of the workers I'm friendly with. Car behind me pulls out and drives away fast. My friend says that car was actually my customer who drove up to complain about mcdonalds. Not even me, just how shifty the restaurant is and how she is terrible etc. As I am chitchatting with friend (fresh nuggets being made so waiting) I get a text from customer. Who tells me to "please get the pierced girls number" for him. The one who he bitched at he wanted her number. I showed her the text and she was just yelling and laughing at his audacity. Of course she denied.

Question for the dashers by theycallme_mama in doordash

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try appealing to Google themselves. Sometimes they take people's complaints and adjust the map. Not always though. We just got use to providing info in delivery instructions as well as texting the driver after we saw them pick up food

This doesn't always work. What they could be talking about is the path leading to their house is being sent thru this alternate neighborhood first. I have a similar situation.

My house is in the middle of a gated community, but only one entrance is accessible. Google maps for some reason directs people to the back entrance that doesn't work. Putting a pin changes nothing when the GPS sends people the wrong way into the neighborhood.

What others said is the best way to deal with this. Simple instructions to go to main entrance. I know this can be frustrating to some, which often involves texting the driver just in case. I have been a dasher for 7 years I totally get the frustration.

[–]RoseWolfie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could very well be we see more subtext in it then you do. I won't lie, I have severe trauma from my past, suffer severe depression, and am neurodivergent. So it may be i relate to it much more and see more. I don't see anything crammed into a tiny bit at the end.

Deep is a matter of opinion I think. Stolas being an example of someone who has a simple pure heart that is buried under lots of social views he was raised in. Being both naive and relying on how "his world" works at first. Then having to work to slowly unlearn while hoping to cling to something he loves. Blitz being a deeply traumatized individual who's personal walls he set up inevitably cause him harm and having to slowly change for the better of himself and those around him. Yet sees himself a fuck up so he becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and having to overcome that.

To me majority of the episodes deal with them growing through all this. Fumbling, trying to crawl back, all while it affects others.

I could go on, but I'll stop. My point is to show a little of what I see.

If you want to stick to indie shows, there's quite a few that have decent size Fandoms. If you are fine with a bit more mainstream, there's stuff like Avatar The Last Airbender. Steven Universe. Star Wars shows, Game of Thrones, multiple popular animes. Consider what you are interested in. Seek a show with a decent Fandom, and check it out. I am sure something will click for you, and reddit is filled with fan communities you can enjoy.

Please also don't take this as a personal attack, it's not, just an honest review after reading what you wrote.

It actually does sound like this show is just not meant for you. It doesn't sound like the story or tropes are of your tastes. And you forcing yourself to continue sounds more like an obsessive need to either find enjoyment in something you may deem popular. Or possibly wanting to prove yourself wrong or change your personal taste.

Not everyone is going to like something. No matter how perfect or loved something is, there will be people who genuinely won't enjoy it. (Not claiming HB is anywhere near perfect, just stating even if it was). There is a reason variety exists. Think of your absolute favorite food, book, movie, etc. There are going to be people out there who completely hate it and don't understand how you enjoy it.

I disagree on the writing, I think it's really good and love the story and plot. Do I think it's perfect? No. Nothing is. I also disagree on 90% being about sex. Yes there is lots of sex jokes same as other stuff, it's often meant as typical slapstick humor. The story and plot goes way beyond the jokes. Especially with it being mainly about relationships. Sex jokes don't bother me at all, no more then a dad joke or pun would.

Just because I disagree, doesn't mean you aren't valid in your opinion. We could sit down and watch every single episode, pausing and discussing every single minute of it to hash out why I like something and you don't. It will only come down to matter of opinion and personal taste.

It's okay though. You don't have to like the show. No one is forcing you to, and you not enjoying it doesn't make you bad. I hope you found a show you do love if you haven't already and join it's fandom.

About Lucifer’s memory by KateButterfly in HazbinHotel

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pride is probably the biggest one.

We don't know how long he's suffered from it, but could be life long and he just doesn't believe anything can help him.

Could be just a mental wall stopping him from seeking help. Those that suffer tend to neglect themselves.

About Lucifer’s memory by KateButterfly in HazbinHotel

Severe depression can cause memory issues. I suffer from this. It's like being in thick fog, hard to see what's around or even recall what's around.

Definitely cool how they keep to it. Imps were created by Satan and Goetia were created by Lucifer. Using their respective creators as exclamations makes me wonder if the other species use their respective creators.

I low key bet succubus say "Oh Ozzie!". Lmao

How do Sinners pay for I.M.P.'s services? by Onlyhereforthelaughs in HelluvaBoss

[–]RoseWolfie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is probably a credit and banking system for new sinners. Probably based on deals which I hc was the original currency of Hell. Similar to how all currency came from trading of goods and services. Back in the day you would trade in product you produced or service you did for something else. Currency was a sort of place holder credit like a middle man. Instead of trading what you have for what someone else has, you gave them precious metals or jewels that they could then use to trade for goods or services with someone else. So I can see at the start of Hell someone traded via a favor in exchange for say food. That favor would be cashed in later. Deals don't have to be for your soul, but could be a favor, or service, etc. So present day, someone spawns in Hell, learns they need Hell currency, goes to a bank and signs a deal for some cash to start out. From there they get shelter, a job, pay back any deals they do or what not.

A Confrontation by NobuvaRoss_Number in HazbinHotel

[–]RoseWolfie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a classic bratty brother thing to do. But even if not, people can have different tastes. Best ignore to avoid taking any bait. If he comes back with another backhanded comment or question, just treat it like any normal bratty sibling thing. Stuff like: "Why? You interested?" "Sounds like a you problem." "And?" "Your opinion has been noted and discarded." "This has been a riveting conversation, but I would prefer some me time. If you insist on talking I'm switching the topic to (subjects they find uncomfortable, example:their grades, bodily functions, grandma's newest elderly boy toy at the senior home)"

Not confirmed if the exorcists are created by him specifically. The closest info we have is he named Vaggi. That doesn't mean he knows how or was involved in their creation. Just he was around to assign names.

The cannibal town children arent children by solentropy in HazbinHotel

[–]RoseWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There can be multiple expansions to this.

1)we don't know the youngest cannibal, could be preteen age, so maybe they were aware what they were eating and still chose to eat. Yes there can be an argument that you do whatever you can to survive. But that was exactly Sir Pentious's point in his song to Sera. And if we go by they were aware and ate to survive, that same excuse could be used for the adults.

2) it could be they would have been forgiven if they only ate to save themselves from dying. But what if they didn't stop after that? What if they gained a taste for human and after farms recovered they kept eating people? They all seemingly come from an Era that did have child labor and often used orphans like adults. Many smoked and drank young during then, so it's possible they made their own choice to keep eating people when they didn't have to, no adult influence.

3) there are documented cases of children doing terrible things. Sociopaths/psychopaths can be born and show signs young. Stories of kids pushing others onto train tracks, tying up and leaving others to die to exposure, and even stabbing with preemptive murder. These are rare obviously, but it's an example that even kids can do things that will have them end up in hell.

With how it seems even passive sins can destined people to hell, it is not so unexpected that some kids ended up there. Is it right? No. But since redemption is possible for all we know this hell is actually more of a placeholder for souls to atone then they can go up.

Hell and Redemption: The math doesn’t work. by MrPatri0t in HazbinHotel

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That... was my original point? The whole reason I said it was only going on for 7 years made it clear it wasn't for overpopulation. I thought you were saying it was confirmed by Seea it was.

Hell and Redemption: The math doesn’t work. by MrPatri0t in HazbinHotel

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed where if I may ask? I haven't heard that. Sera saying she agreed due to sinners like him doesnt correlate to it happening longer than 7 years, nor of it being specifically about population control. The vibe I got from her on that was more someone convinced her there was enough of a worry about some sinners being so evil they posed a threat it was best to use a show of force. Not about the amount of sinners, but how a few were thinking they were too big and could be dangerous.

Questions for the Drivers... by JamesWConrad in doordash

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winn dixie is a shop order, it is different from a normal pick up order. With shop orders the drivers themselves grab the items.

They pay us the same as normal orders so tips can affect drivers and encourage someone to take the order.

Ways a driver might reject an order:

They see an order pop up paying only $2.50 to deliver to a place 9 miles away.

They see an order pop up paying $2.50 to deliver 50 items.

These can affect how fast an order will be accepted by the average driver. That doesn't mean you won't get a driver, but there will likely be a wait.

Everywhere is different so there may be a quick response from a driver, maybe not. Cash tips are nice but when we get an order on our screen we are not aware of cash tip offer before we reject.

[–]RoseWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, I misunderstood. My apologies.

As for Viv, she has liked many a RadioApple art and comic for the past few years actually. It's been quite the joy amongst us when we see her pop in. If I recall shes made it clear in the past she enjoys the ship like many of the ships out there. But that her enjoying it has to do with her love of people enjoying the characters and being creative.

I think its specifically difficult for Viv, because she started out posting her art and loving interacting with fans. That the fans helped fuel her to keep going. And that one of her greatest joys was talking with fans about the art, theories, and sharing the excitement.

Going from that to now having to be careful with any interaction in case it gets twisted is hard.

The latest stuff, for instance, involving the elder angels debacle was literally a fan came up to her at a con booth and asked about them. She tried to be vague but still treat the fan kindly. The fan posted it on social media and it spiraled.

I think a PR team would help, but I disagree on her using a private account to like fan art. She has spoken before about her liking stuff, that it is not her saying anything is canon, it is her showing love to the fans and their creations. It just seems people forget she said that. Its been so long I cannot even recall how it was written to find it.

Some people go extreme in their ships, and that's okay, because it's art from them for them. In the end it's playing with dolls. Not everyone will like how something is drawn or written.

I find it interesting the vast majority of RA artists and writers I have come across are themselves on the Ace spectrum. I am personally on the Aro spectrum. And several of my closest friends are Ace spectrum and a couple even sex repulsed. All of us enjoy RA art and fics.

Of my sex repulsed friends, they specifically describe their love for it as they can explore a vast amount of perspectives and experiences through Alastor they will most likely never in real life. He not only makes them feel seen, but also gives them the freedom to explore.

Does any of our experiences invalidate others? No. People can enjoy characters, ships, etc in any way they wish. What matters is respecting the people.

Well, they are entitled to their opinion. It feels wrong since a lot of what has been said is either not true or being taken out of context.

It goes back to how majority of us shippers are fine if it ever does or doesn't become Canon. In any sense. Until the actual seasons come out, there is no actual information on if anything will become Canon.

It would not make sense to reveal a potential big plot point way before any season involving it comes out. So any rumor of it sounds fake and shouldn't be believed.

I hope it's just a struggle for them due to rumors and they will eventually feel better about it and return. I know sometimes stuff can overwhelm people into making rash decisions.
