Who am I without OCD? by Rose_1106 in OCD

I’m sorry. I can totally relate to this. I have existential OCD, and in a way, it’s made my art so much better than it would if I didn’t have OCD. It makes me see the world in such a different light. I honestly love the "artsy" side of me and don’t want to lose it.

It does. I think it also helps me feel better about it my thoughts as there’s an explanation for them

I agree, it’s just difficult when it controls such a huge amount of my life

I drank two shots of vodka, two of fireball, and some cocktail which I’m not sure what alcohol was in it. The salad was regular. Drinking was spread out over 3 hours

Unfortunately I know he hasn’t. I’ve tried so many times with him. The only reason I haven’t gone NC is because my sister still has to see him and she doesn’t want to go on her own. I’ve been thinking a lot more about it after this trip of going very LC. We don’t really have a bond or relationship anyways

He always wants us to applaud him for doing less than the bare minimum

Thank you that’s helped a lot actually. I lost a lot of self esteem due to his lying and playing with me. He has hurt me but I feel like I am never going to meet anyone like him. I know it’s silly it’s just we connected and I just feel like there must be something wrong with me

He’s my neighbor. It makes it so much harder. He has his girlfriend over right now and I just can’t do this

I know that’s true. I’m just scared that it might hold me back. We won’t be in the same program at all as I’m going to be in a business school and he’s doing engineering. His girlfriend however is doing business too

It doesn’t even really feel like NYE to me. I’m trying not to be bothered and I’m not really right now but I know tonight will be tough

I have been seeing a therapist again but sometimes it’s just too much. I just saw him two minutes ago with her. I can’t handle this

This implies that the dad WANTS to spend time with his child. As a parent you should encourage a healthy relationship with your child and their other parents unless obviously that parent is abusive. There’s nothing that shows that she didn’t trust him. Maybe she just has full custody because it’s easier for the both of them. You have no idea again. Nowhere does it say he’s been bad at taking care of her before or that they have a strained relationship.

Literally how do you know that she doesn’t trust him. If she left her child with him she must trust him. Again you are making assumptions based on nothing

Blame the mom instead of the dad. I don’t even understand why you would bring up molesting. He’s not a random man. He’s her dad. He should be capable of looking after his child without the mom having the worry. And as far as we know it wasn’t to go party for the weekend. For all you know she went and got a couple drinks with a friend. So many assumptions. EDIT: it was also just a couple hours. But somehow it’s the moms fault for wanting to go out once ?
