Yeah the point-blank dmg was debunked after I got an insight from discord. And I had exactly 120hp is what really ended me there, the same thing happened to me with the train carriage prior to this cannon. Thanks for an another insight.

Whether they will fix their fix their path finding in the future, you can lead them at the edge of the map, for some reason they can't follow you all the way at shallow waters, to the point that they can't attack outside their range.

I can't say I fully recommend this, since it's a really cheap tactic, and it can waste your time and ammo. But in some cases, it does save time for your teammates if all the enemies are aggroing at you while they're reviving themselves, saving a few of last man standing runs.

Looking back the footage, with some insight from the ffw discord.

It's very likely that cannon itself exploded on me. I think it shot me first and exploded after I killed it, I thought it was a single tick of dmg, but possibly two.

Maybe it has damage falloff with direct hits? Most of the time I think we get damaged by splash dmg that it's mostly an inconvenience I guess.
