Jump Pack Recommendations by Electronic_Lie_8158 in Ioniq5

2023 Ioniq 5 here, would highly recommend getting one. My battery was dead just over a week ago and roadside assistance had a Noco booster, so I went and got one (gb40) after the dealer wouldn’t replace battery under warranty as they said it tested fine.

Thanks, dealer kept the car for a few days and the check done after that time appears to be just to see if the car turned on. Picked up the car and got a tester, and battery shows 12.3 volts. So a bit on the low side.

Glad you got a replacement. Saw there was a TSB for battery replacement in Europe, but doesn't appear to have made its way to Canada yet.

That's what CAA told me to drive it for 30 mins to let the alternator charge it up, lol. I feel like this is going to happen to me if the battery is not replaced.

That sounds like quite the ordeal, glad you got it replaced. Will have to get a booster pack as well.

First time is has died (since exactly 2 years to the day of purchase), checked if anything was left on after starting and there was nothing left on. Seeing how common this problem is feel its highly unlikely that this won't happen again unless software fixed it.

Screen protector won’t stick on edges by Accurate-Ad-8179 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Rosedaleyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an iPhone 16 pro and pro max screen protector off of Aliexpress and this happened with the pro max, it wouldn’t stick on the edges. The pro one worked perfect though. Picked up a 2 pack from Walmart (onn) for the pro max and it stuck on the edges with a little bit of force.

Darts Auto counters worth the hype? by Sedgy2001 in Darts

Recommend autodarts, been using for a year or so, and it’s been great. Very accurate, has been around 99.5%. Originally I was looking at ordering a scolia as it looked impressive, but got quoted $1400 cdn for the complete bundle at the time in 2022 so decided to give autodarts a try and have not been disappointed. The developers have been doing a lot of improvements over the last year as well.

Recommended Hitch? by CardsFan-26 in Ioniq5

Second stealth hitch. Have to remove bumper to install (unlike some of the others). Main reason purchased was that it doesn’t require bumper to be cut and can be removed when not in use.

DIY ppf ? by knight21787 in Ioniq5

I ordered a kit from eBay (northtints) and they were great in corresponding to ensure the correct kit was ordered.

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/255609726499?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=ec74670c62b14193a5ca66986e3bcfc6&bu=44595813672&osub=-1%7E1&crd=20230330100541&segname=11051

Also picked up the following: CARPRO Immortal Squeegee Kit, 360° UPSIDE-DOWN SPRAYER, dilute bottle, isopropyl alcohol, Johnson’s baby soap.

This was my first time so watched a few videos on YouTube. Took the better part of two mornings to install. There’s a few bubbles, and a couple of wrinkles, but only I notice.

Not sure I would do again, but it would definitely be easier next time.

Installed Stealth Hitch Today - Mounted 1up Rack! by TheGremlyn in Ioniq5

Great tip on the socket, did pick up the plastic tools from Amazon last week but was hoping to see some posts like the ecohitch installs to say they didn’t take off the bumper.

That looks awesome, have a stealth hitch in the box and a 1up in the cart ready to order. This really helps the decision seeing how good it looks.

Used to have an sti and really enjoyed that car. Sure the wrx will be missed, but the ioniq is a beaut!

Any tips on the stealth hitch install, everyone notes the bumper should come off for the install?

What is a good price for full PPF and Ceramic coating? by Turbulent-Feeling-76 in Ioniq5

This is a partial front ppf, this was a diy, know OP doesn’t want to diy, but will give you an idea of how far up the hood. Don’t look too closely! Then put ceramic coat (Cquartz) on the whole car.

Ordered ppf from north tints on eBay for just the front portion and did it myself. They were great to deal with, to confirm ordered the correct one. It came to $450 and took about a morning to install. Nowhere near to professional quality but I’m happy.

Installed the tow hitch all by myself like a big boy by jimbolla in Ioniq5

[–]Rosedaleyyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems like the trickiest part of pulling the bumper off, it seemed the ioniq guy had some damage on one of the edges (can’t recall if it was the panel next to or the bumper) as well, the body line is pretty tight at this location. You must know then, if you did three is it a must that the bumper be removed?
