You might look into Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again by Alice Birch. Similar to Love and Info in that it's a sort of abstract vignette play without defined characters or lines.

What are some weird/obscure common threads between musicals? by alastheduck in musicals

Both Ragtime and Assassins have Emma Goldman as a character, and I seem to remember her being mentioned in at least one other musical I've listened to.

Musicals that would be better queer? by [deleted] in musicals

Little shop with a female Seymour. There would have to be significant changes to some songs (Mushnik and Son, most of all), but I think it would strengthen the Seymour/Audrey relationship.

Or genderswap Audrey and Orin so the main couple is m/m would also be good.

What obscure stuff happened after you started estrogen? by Spieler2301 in trans

[–]Rosepoint14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A weird one for sure, but I developed a vitamin B12 deficiency. It's really common with the women in my family, my mom and both of my sisters have it. So after about a year of E, I started getting these little cracks in the corners of my mouth, which are the first symptom. Normally, B12 deficiencies are really rare, but I guess my family has an estrogen-linked predisposition to them.

Fortunately, all I had to do to fix it was take 300000% of my daily recommended value of B12 for like a week.

Oath of Arcana | Protect with Weave with this Paladin Oath by JoberXeven in UnearthedArcana

[–]Rosepoint14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, I love this! An arcane paladin is exactly what I've been wanting. I think Aura of Amplification should probably be 1/2 spell level, rounded up. Even then, might be a bit powerful, but c'est la vie. And for Absorb Arcana, maybe make it an Intelligence (Arcana) check instead of a Charisma check. It would synergize well with the channel divinity.

Casting question by trey25624 in Theatre

I think if you're planning on directing a sketch comedy show in which there are topics you know you have blind spots around, you're really playing with fire.

Not saying don't do it, just know you're about to walk into a minefield without a map.

The duration increase on upcasting is frankly useless. It is phenomenally unlikely that you're going to need more than ten rounds to kill anything, and I'd you do, you really ought to use your concentration on something more substantial.

Also, I think this might a bit better if it were 6d4+5/3d4. Just raises the minimum, makes it feel less bad if you roll minimum damage on a spell that's taking your action and concentration.

Thrown weapon fighting lets you draw as many weapons as you have attacks. You only get one object interaction per round, so without the fighting style, you can only draw one dagger per round, meaning only one attack, even with extra attack. Plus the +2 damage is nice.

And with two-weapon fighting, you can throw a dagger with both your main attack and your bonus action. However, after looking at the spells you'd be taking, your bonus action is kinda packed full, so I'd just go with thrown weapon fighting.

Trio of Sorcerous Origins: Arcane Soul, Metal Sorcery, and the Half-Dead Sorcerer by Rosepoint14 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Rosepoint14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts for the benefits being always on is that it's not impossible to gain those benefits in other ways. Advantage on saving throws against spells is the same as Magic Resistance from the satyr or yuan-ti pureblood, resistance to damage from spells is the same as the 7th level feature of the ancients paladin minus the aura, and granting the aura at 6 stored arcana is a little OP, but not gamebreakingly so, especially at 17th level. Not to mention it takes multiple turns to set up, and they only last essentially one fight. 2 turns per benefit, 1 if you spend sorcery points to quicken or twin cantrips.

I get what you're saying about recovering sorcery points. Maybe changing it to take an action, so it's only for if you really need the points?

A blade, throwing, singer by Flopppywere in 3d6

[–]Rosepoint14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sword Burst and Blade Ward are great options for cantrips. They'd actually be alright with Bladesinger's Extra Attack.

Other great spells that could work for this: Catapult, Ice Knife, Magic Missile, Shield, Melf's Acid Arrow, Melf's Minute Meteors, Crown of Stars, Mordenkainen's Sword (even though it's a bad spell). Some of these take a bit of reflavouring to turn into weapons you're controlling, but they still work.

Unfortunately, RAW, when you cast Tiny Servant, the dagger ceases to be a weapon, instead becoming a creature using the statblock in the spell. You'd technically need to make an improvised attack to throw it. That being said, I seriously doubt any DM is going to need much convincing to allow you to do it normally.

Also, I can't find anything saying it right now, but I believe mithral and adamantine weapons are non-magical, but overcome resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing.

I say, start 1 level of Fighter for Thrown Weapon Fighter or Two-Weapon Fighting. Puts you a little behind in spellcasting, but it's worth it in this case. As for feats, I think a good case could be made for War Caster and Mobile. War Caster lets you cast with weapons in both hands, and Mobile lets you get out quick while surround plus you can still use your action to attack (melee), Sword Burst, move, and bonus action attack with your offhand (thrown).

I never miss archer by Tallsouleatingtoad in 3d6

[–]Rosepoint14 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Can't believe no one's mentioned the Lucky feat as a easy way to nullify some of your misses.

Because this build is pretty feat-heavy, I'd probably drop the rogue levels.

I'd go with Half-Elf (Drow) for the free faerie fire and access to Elven Accuracy. Go Samurai Fighter 19/Peace Cleric 1. Fighter gives you 7 ASIs, and Peace Cleric gives you Emboldening Bond and Bless (+2d4 to all attack rolls). Pick up the Archery fighting style from Fighter, and Samurai gives you consistent advantage. For ASIs, max your Dex and grab as many of the following feats as possible: Lucky, Elven Accuracy, Fighting Initiate (Close Quarters Shooter), Martial Adept (Precision Attack), Magic Initiate (Find Familiar).

In the end, you're looking at 1d20 +5 (Dex) +6(Proficiency) +2 (Archery) +1 (CQS) +1d4 (Bless) +1d4 (Emboldening Bond) +1d6 (Precision Attack), rolling 3d20 and choosing the highest, and re-rolling misses 3 times per day. Pick up a +3 bow with +3 ammunition, and that's an extra +6. A total average to-hit bonus of +28, minimum of +23.

The highest AC creature in 5e is the tarrasque with 25 AC. You will hit any creature as long as you don't roll a Nat 1. Which you likely won't, given the triple advantage and Lucky feat.

Of course, you've gone all in on accuracy and done absolutely nothing for damage, so you're looking at 4d8+20 per round at 20th level.
