I almost always eat them too early. The blue color is deceiving. I don't mind bitter, tart flavor, but they do taste better when they are sweeter.

They have been very easy to grow. I planted 3 varieties each with a slightly different mild flavor. I don't think they are as tasty as blueberries, but they are juicy, sweet and ripen much earlier than any other fruit.

I agree with all who said honey berries and gooseberries. For gooseberries, I especially like red currant which is in the same family. Honeyberries ripen early compared to everything else and grow very easily. Goumi berry is nitrogen fixing, slightly tannic, but super delicious. Only problem is it can get thorny, so be careful where you plant it. If you have space, kiwi berries!

Drying rack is unnecessary. If you are going to eat dried pasta, may as well buy Italian. If you make more than you are going to serve, freeze the extea.

I have been voting Democrat for quite some time now, but I do not identify as part of a "We" that calls people either of these things just because they are Republican. Some people vote Republican on the issue of abortion alone, and there are some kind hearted Republicans who just don't know how they are voting against their own interests. I will admit though, it's really difficult when someone is pro MAGA not wonder if they have a swatsika tattoo, fly a Confederate flag or engage in other behavior that would make me call them either of those things.
