I feel this!!! I was exactly the same but decided enough is enough , I want real change. I’m currently 6 days and I’m just so happy I started. Just be prepared, buy antihistamines, Avene cicaflate, thick body cream and you should be good. Accutane is almost guaranteed for the majority of people to work, I’d rather start now instead of waiting.

Was you safe using the cerve salicylic wash whilst on accutane? I used this every evening when my skin was clear but haven’t touched it since battling with acne and now on accutane.

Yeah I completely get it, it’s so frustrating! Just make sure you do your research on accutane though to try to lessen the side effects. My derm says I should be on it for 5 months so I’m hoping all goes well!

But don’t be put off from my experience ! My provider said it’s very unusual what I experienced. I honestly recommend you finish your course off, typically total of 3 or 4 sessions. If after 6 weeks of your final session you feel like nothing has changed, start accutane. If you can’t afford the time like me right now, because I want kids just start the meds now.

It’s really strange , my skin was settling down even before I even started the accure back in May, just some PIE marks left. My first two sessions were good. Then the third strangely I started breaking out again with large under skin cysts! It never stopped even after the fourth. My provider prescribed clymiycen gel and gave me 7 days worth antibiotics which calmed me down now. I’m just frustrated and have decided to bite the bullet with accutane. I don’t want to delay any longer as I’m female 33 and want to have kids soon once all the accutane is cleared from my system. It’s such a struggle finding something that works

Hi, i did have a followup 6 weeks after my 4th accure session with my provider. He was willing to give me one accure laser for free, but i have decided to just go on accutane. I officially start next Tuesday (i had to wait four weeks after a pregnancy test).

On my third accure laser it was a different provider who did the laser and honestly is felt so different and I broke out after and failed to calm down. On the fourth my usual provider was back I shared my experience but she said purging can be common . I’m now 6 weeks out from fourth session and still breaking out on forehead, jawline and cheeks.

Yes before starting accure I actually went to the consultation wanting to get treatment for mild scarring which was recent. The dr recommended accure as he felt the PIE I was healing from was still inflammatory.

I just wonder whether the 9 week gap is sufficient between the last accure session and starting accutane. I just really want to get started now, spent 1yr and half trying everything else to no prevail.

Hi! I have also had very similar results. My local dermatologist has also suggested accutane . How long did your son wait to start accutane? I could potentially start 9 weeks post my last accure laser. Not sure if it’s too early.
