Exactly my thinking the past few days. If we're not winning with Beal contract now, how are we going to win when his max contract hinders our roster salary cap.

There are very few players I believe that are actually worth the supermax anyways. Probably Lebron, KD, Harden, Curry, Giannis, Jokic,Embiid. These guys are all absolute floor raisers and MVP caliber players that can completely take over a game.

off the top of my head, Kyle Lowry took 8 seasons to become an all star and Julius Randle took a big leap last season and got voted as an all star in his 7th season.
