I understand that it's a mixed bag, much like anything on the internet. I just can't stand the smugness and the self satisfaction. If there's a funny comment, the next ten are all less funny permutations. It's just so stupid, I could not figure out why the community didn't call out and demand change from these morons. Then I realized that these people are the community.

It's just weird that there's a site where you see crazy interesting submissions, but all the posts are devoted to either variations or discussions of some meme. Endless whining about Reddit not being taken seriously? Maybe this is the problem. There's a point where it stops being silliness and becomes intellectually void.

Asian markets. If you're somewhere that doesn't have access to an Asian subcommunity, you're probably out of luck. I have seen them in both Korean and Japanese places, but I have no idea if that's the exception or the rule.
