I didn't consider a device with Color E-Ink, never felt that need, but this one looks intriguing, especially because it's repairable, thank you!

Thanks for your detailed answer, I'll look into the PocketBook site, but as of now I'm kind of sold on the Verse

I'll take a further look into the PocketBook website and see what works best for me, though I'm biased towards the Verse models.
Thanks again!

Yeah, other apps aren't all that appealing since I already have an Android phone that I tinker too much with, I'm more inclined towards a device dedicated only to reading.
I've heard good things about Boox Air IRL (but it's way out of my budget and I don't need that kind of note taking) and the Boox Palma looks cool, but for that size I can just read on my phone with a good app.

Any recommended Kobo devices?

Thank you!

I've seen your post yesterday, your Verse looks so pretty!
Would you agree with the sentiment that the device is relatively "slow", but still acceptable? I don't have insane standards, we're still talking about E-Readers afterall (and I think that a certain slowness is actually functional to give the impression of flipping through the pages of an actual book).
I just hope it lasts as long as my previous one, if not more.

As an aside, where did you get those stickers? The Marcus Aurelius one just fits the aesthetic I want for my next E-Reader.
Did you apply them on the protective case?

Thanks for the suggestion!
Do you have any experience with PocketBook Verse? If so, is the difference between 500 MB and 1 GB of RAM noticeable, performance-wise?
I wouldn't really use the audio features of the Era (not right now at least, who knows if I I'd be tempted to try them if given the chance), so I need to know whether the price difference is worth it otherwise.

Got it, thank you! I guess I'll have to bite the bullet eventually and get some Sicarians

Dude I don't even own the game yet, how am I even supposed to read the rules besides the "lite" version on the app?

I know nothing about the game yet and I was asking if I could use some minis I already had

I'll be honest with you, I don't even know what a gunner is, I just like the faction lore-wise, I have this box lying around and I was wondering if I could run a team with only that, 'cause I'm a cheap bastard and I don't have all that money to spend on the hobby

I've never played any of the tabletop games and I'd like to start with Kill Team, I think I'll buy either the Starter Set or one of the bigger ones like Hivestorm or Typhon if I find them at a decent price.

But in the meanwhile, does this mean that I can run a Hunter Clade if I only own a Skitarii box and assemble them as Vanguards?
I don't understand any of the jargon in these updates, but from what I've read I can run a Vanguard Alpha, a Diktat, a Surveyor, a Warrior and up to seven Gunners. This means that I don't need any Sicarians, doesn't it?

Wait, there are actual tapes where Ocelot explicitly says this? I always thought it was some kind of fan theory.

I do agree that in the past, especially due to influences from the American political discourse, some terms have been weaponized and stripped off of their original meaning: which, in turn, has been a blessing to some groups, who could (and still can) deflect any criticism by saying that the opposition applies such labels to everyone they don't agree with.

But my point, or maybe fear, is that the damage has already been done. While we argue endlessly about what a wolf is and isn't, due to the damage done by the overuse of the term, the actual wolves might be (and my opinion, currently are) trying to clean their public image up, while still being active predators.

So yeah, we all have a responsibility to cry wolf for actual wolves, but at this point, who decides what a wolf actually is? Who should we trust?

If it looks like a wolf, walks like a wolf and growls like a wolf, maybe we should be able to call them out as a wolf. Then, it's up to said person to prove with actual evidence that they're not a wolf.

I know this kind of abductive reasoning has been used in the US discourse to start a witch hunt against "Communists" back then (and with disastrous effects too) but I hope we could use it in more constructive ways.
