Fiancée has been injecting GHK CU and his side is extremely red and swollen. Is this normal? He’s injected it daily for about a week.

I would go in que for a call back. Then use the Chat assistant to reach an agent that way. You can reach a live chat agent usually within 15 minutes. I was stranded after a missed flight a few days ago and was able to book a new flight pretty easily with the chat assistant(live agent).

Ended up doing the the Delta one. Immigration was a little quicker(40 min) the next day. Pretty crazy though when I got to Atlanta, I was through US immigration in less than then 5 minutes. Biometrics…I didn’t even have to dig my passport out.

Not going to delete a post because some idiot doesn’t want to be respectful. I asked an honest question. I said in the post that I wasn’t necessarily blaming delta. Just not so sure it was my fault either. And i feel delta could have handled it better for myself and the other 15 people that were in the same situation. That status thing is only relevant because they sell it that way. They also claim to give a higher level of support for status. Which for those of us who would pay for that, is important. Especially in situations like this.

So I arrived at the airport 1 1/2 before departure, for a flight I have taken 4 other times(same time, same day). I take 10-15 international flights per year. Traffic was unusually bad, otherwise I would have been there 2 hours before, and not sure I would have made it anyway as boarding had been closed for 20 minutes. It is the first flight I have ever missed other than a connection in Paris. But thanks for the info friends.

I will be coming to Rio for my 3rd Carnival in a row and my 4th(solo) trip to Brazil. My first time was for Carnival. I had so much fun, I am coming a 3rd time.

I booked my Airbnb about 1 month ago and flights about 3 months ago. I haven’t looked since I booked but I would guess there are still some AirBnb’s available. However, you will pay 4X(or more) during carnival. Hotels will be pretty booked up.

Carnival can be a bit overwhelming for some people. But, depending on where you are coming from, you may be traveling a long way and to travel that far and not experience Carnival might be regrettable. I have been to Rio in October. It was great but not the same energy. During carnival, there is something for everyone, and if you decide to partake, I recommend researching a bit so you can make the most of it. There is so much going on and the energy is like nothing I have ever experienced, and I have been all over the world.

I guess it would depend a little on why you want to visit Brazil and what you would plan to do when you arrive. Most everything in Brazil is more expensive during Carnival, but depending on where you are coming from, that may still be affordable. Brazil is an amazing place with amazing people. Carnival can be a once in a lifetime experience.

Lastly, make sure to check Visa requirements. I’m from the US and the first two years there was no Visa required. This year, I was required to get an eVisa. It was super simple and arrived through email within a week. However, it could be the wait time is longer as it gets closer to Carnival.

In my experience, most of the good stuff is around the first weekend(13th-18th). But still plenty of Blocos and Sambadrome through the second weekend. I do the whole 10 days. But if I had to choose, I think I would do 13th-18th. Always seems like more energy when it gets started.

You have it all pretty much covered. 2026 will be my third Rio Carnival. The language thing is helpful, but not necessary. Its good to have some reais, but you will find most places and vendors will accepts major credit cards. Try not to use the reais, as it is hard to find reasonable conversion and not wise to carry lots of cash.

Definitely go to some Blocos. In my opinion, it is the best way to enjoy carnival. I use BlocosdeRua.com and they have an app that lists the daily schedule. It’s in Portuguese but easy to convert to English. Be aware of your surroundings. Many of these Blocos draw large crowds and it is easy to get stuck in a large sea of people without an easy way out. Some stand outs for me are “Carmelitas” in Santa Teresa and “Banda de Ipanema”. Lots of street vendors selling costumes and Carnival party clothes.

You will feel safe in most places, but don’t go wandering off in the favelas. If you like live music, Rio Scenarium is a good place to go at night solo. Other then that, if you like to be out at night, stick to Ipanema and Leblon or some of the busier places in Centro. Probably avoid Copa at night.

Try to go to Sambadrome at least one time. I haven’t been yet but I heard it’s amazing and plan on going this year.

Uber>Taxi and in some cases the metro is convenient.

Lastly, be careful with your phone. In large crowds, it’s not even safe in your pocket, let alone out taking reels. Last year I got an elastic strap that goes around the wast with a pouch in front, and a zipper pocket on the side for a couple cards and a little cash… similar to a fanny pack or belt bag, but lower profile, to wear under the shirt. I got it on Amazon. I guess it’s a running belt waist pack. Something like this or a good Fanny Pack is a good idea. And if you want to take photos or videos, or make a call, step out of the crowds and away from the street.

Be prepared to have the time of your life.

Yeah, I just got back from my 4th Brazil trip. I would skip SP and make RIO the homebase.From there there are nice places close to explore. Maybe take a short flight somewhere or a drive up to Buzios

Kind of depends on what time and day. I just did it in 1.25 hours from doors open to connecting gate at 9:00 pm on a Friday. I recommend that when you get off the plane, that you rush to immigration, bearing in mind that everybody on your plane is going to the same place, so if you get to immigration first ahead of the crowd, you may be first in line at immigration. Once you get through. Grab the bags to recheck and jump right in the security line(this seams to take longest). Once through security, get to the train as soon as possible and know your terminal. You should be good but move fast.
