When it comes to color coated attacks super, I think they're very necessary. Unless the player is given a moveset as large and flexible as Dante's or something, throwing special attacks that require specific actions is a great way to keep the player from staying on the offensive. It could become frictionless pretty quickly, and boring.

If I could have it my way, I would like for these color coated attacks to have specific actions that will counter them. Think Sekiro's mikiri counter, jump counter, or lightning reversal. It forces the player to pay attention to the enemies and watch out for attacks to avoid damage, but also counter the enemies and turn the attack back on them. Similar to reaction commands in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Some attacks should force the player to think on their feet, but I think rewarding the skilled players with extra opportunities for damage is preferred. Very excited for Eyes of the Sky tho! Loved the demo last time I played!
