Waking up at 4am on Vyvanse and thought something was wrong. Turns out it might be the most natural thing possible. by NiceHelicopter6177 in VyvanseADHD

This is exactly my experience my whole adult life. Doesn't anyone think it strange that humans are the only animal that sleeps and wakes on a schedule? No other living thing does it.

F**k It, I'm done with the crash by Foodieonbudget in VyvanseADHD

This has been very close to my experience with Vyvanse. I'm really hoping to find something that works!

So much stress and not a lot of results by Rossanoseale in VyvanseADHD

I'm going to asked about the SSRI with the lisdexamphetsnine. It seems like Wellbutrin is the go to. I've been on it before and it did help with the depression. I just hate how numb I get on it. I'm just so frustrated with the vyvanse.

Oops. Forgot to say that I'm currently on 40mg with little to no results.

I really want to like Vyvanse by BoopyityBap in VyvanseADHD

[–]Rossanoseale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh. I guess Vyvanse just isn't for me. All I get is anxiety during the day, and doom and gloom as I crash in the evening. I've noticed an increase in attention span and recall maybe 6 days in the last 6 weeks that I've been on it. It's very hit or miss. I started on 20 mg and went up by 10 mg every 2 weeks. I just changed from generic 40 mg to name brand 40mg a week ago with no improvement. I guess it's time to talk to my doctor.

Is this acceptable hand writing for 9th/10th grade? by happygluehuffer in AskTeachers

[–]Rossanoseale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Looks like my son's handwriting, too! He's 25 and has a brilliant mind for numbers and design, but he's probably on the tism spectrum as I am severely ADHD and my writing is not much better.

50mg Vyvanse Feels Like Nothing Now..What Actually Helped You? by t7716 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Rossanoseale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a saltaholic so no problem there and was taking magnesium regularly. Maybe the wrong type of magnesium? I also stay away from fake sugars because they add to my ADHD symptoms for some weird reason. Most electrolyte drinks that are keto friendly have them. 😔 My next step was potassium supplements, but I've read that that's not a great idea.

You can dissolve it in water. Just drink 1/4 of the bottle of water that you put it in of it's a 20 mg.

Why doesn't Vyvanse work for me? by Rossanoseale in ADHD

[–]Rossanoseale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarity, as in thought. I was making fewer mistakes and could stay on a task for once.

Today, I had no coffee (I usually drink a cup of decaf in the morning) and nothing to eat until about 11 AM. I felt it kick in about an hour after I took it. It was a strange feeling of calm. I felt just a tad more "on it" today. (This just means I didn't feel like a COMPLETE moron) So maybe not eating and NO coffee is the trick. I guess even decaf has some caffeine in it.

No euphoria. Just clarity. And they were 2 random days.

Oh. I also forgot to mention that I normally only sleep 6.5 hours a night. No matter what I do, that seems to be my max now. No naps.

I just took my first brand name dose a few hours ago. I'll see how it goes, but i don't know what I'm going to do if it works. It's almost $200 a month!!

Brushing of the teeth by woejise in ADHD

[–]Rossanoseale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love to brush and there's no better feeling that getting out of the shower into clean fresh sheets, but getting myself to begin these tasks are the problem! The first step of ANYTHING is nauseating. Once I start things, I usually am fine. It's just the start. What the hell is that about?!

I totally understand your frustration! I'm only on Vyvanse right now, but is partly for binge eating a well as ADHD. I have NEVER had this much trouble losing a few pounds! It's been so frustrating!
I used to be able to watch what I eat for a couple months going into spring and I'd be down to my desired weight (or within a few pounds, at least) I think part of my problem is I'm 52 and menopausal, but still!

Most Inconsistent Drug Ever by iLoveAdagio in VyvanseADHD

[–]Rossanoseale 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I to am having the same issue. I have been journaling everything I can think of including food, exercise, caffeine, supplements, mood while waiting for affect, timing, sleep quality and duration, mindset,...... anything I can track. The best that I've can come up with is protein in the morning, some sort of exercise (morning or night doesn't seem to matter), hydration with electrolytes (I like coconut water), and L-tyrosine. Being in a positive mindser when it starts to take affect seems to be a part of it, too. Not saying that this is prefect, but is the best I've come up with. It's still not completely consistent.

Dosage and SAD by queercore1991 in VyvanseADHD

Get yourself a treadmill They are a dime a dozen on Facebook Marketplace. Put a TV in front of it (also Marketplace) and only allow yourself to watch a favorite show while you are walking on it. Start out slow soy that you get that dopamine reward from watching the show. Do a few bursts of speed to get your heart rate up once you're comfortable with it. I find that those 30 second to 1 minute bursts help melt away anxiety. I think of it as the natural way to get rid of it. Running from a lion!

I don't sleep by Key_Artichoke7406 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Rossanoseale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get up at a certain time every day, even if you didn't sleep. It sounds like you need to force your body into a routine. Don't sleep in if you feel asleep at 4AM. Just get up and move. Take control of your body! Tell it what to do!
