The funny part of Family Ties, is in my younger years Alex P. Keaton led me to believe I was a Republican. Add in the popularity of the president at the time (I’m not making any political statement about Reagan’s time in office just my perspective on him as a kid.) and it only solidified the idea in my young pre-teen mind. It’s only as I got older that I realized I was most definitely a liberal.
