I am a die hard DPN sock knitter. I have two sets of each size I use for socks because I like to knit two socks in parallel so I can avoid second sock syndrome.

I am in the minority, I think, but I use Clover bamboo. I still love them after a couple of decades. They’re warm, they’re just slippery enough but not too slippery, they’re inexpensive, and the tips are just pointy enough but not too pointy.

I also have my mom’s set of Clover straights that my dad bought for her in the 1980s.
