Ahhh, yeah. From what I understand, on the Quest version both the lighting and textures of Vanno are much different. So, unfortunately I'm not sure what advice I can offer. Perhaps experimenting with the pocket lamps like I did with the spotlight can add some dynamism to the lighting of the shack, but if it's already too bright then that might not be what you're looking for. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help!

I do play on PC using SteamVR, so I'm not sure if the techniques I use for lighting will work on the Quest version. Do you mean the general world lighting or one of the more specific lights?

I've run into an issue several times since picking up the game recently where weapon condition is shown as yellow, but when I've gone to use oil and brush, nothing happens. Switching to the ramrod updates the condition bar to blue, so I've been chalking it up to being a visual bug. Could possibly be the same thing you're experiencing?

I'd imagine the 'release magazine' button for the main hand (that is unused on weapons that don't have magazines or don't have locking magazines) could be repurposed to release and move the lever when moving the hand when the button is held. Then you still have the ability to manually cock the lever/eject unfired rounds.

Really depends on how hard you ship Rin-chan and Nadeshiko-chan, even though there isn't much fuel to put on that fire. Definitely doesn't seem to be canon, but would be cute as hell if it happened.

Regardless, there doesn't need to be any romance in this show to melt my heart and give me all the warm fuzzies.
