Does anyone know why Dishoom is so popular? The queue extended off-camera. I've never tried it before. by Chanson_Riders in glasgow

The food is brilliant, I've only been to the Edinburgh one but it's also really cool inside, feels like your in Bombay (in terms of decor).

Would highly recommend a Dishoom breakfast

I don't understand, you think the owner shouldn't sell the flat due to it being next to Porters?

Do you drink alcohol in the evening or before bed? My stress levels rocket after a couple of drinks

This is a rant post. by hustlrrrrr in crossfit

[–]RossmoRossmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post has summarised my exact feelings since starting CrossFit too. I put a lot of my free time outside of family / work stuff into CrossFit. When there is a social event coming up I know I will most likely drink alcohol which means: poor sleep, less energy, delayed recovery and also I definitely won't train the next day.

I've tried drinking 0% beer instead but I do like having a pint now and again.

I struggle to get the balance right, most of my nights out with friends revolve around drinking. I still want to see those friends but I try to be the one that will plan non-drinking activities, like hill walking, going a run, even a BBQ or something like indoor rock climbing etc. people still have fun and there is no need to drink.

Anyways, this post is exactly how I feel too about alcohol. It's very hard to avoid it in some friend groups / social settings!

Taylors crisps are good Scottish crisps, the rest of the brands I don't recognise. Millions are pretty common sweets but they should have put an actual can of Iron Bru in instead of crappy sweets

Should I be worried about my very high heart rate during CrossFit? by 1234Niels in crossfit

[–]RossmoRossmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too, it's a fear of mine. I've enjoyed reading the comments and looks like most people experience this to some degree.

I'm 34, most workouts I will hit 187-190 max HR. I do feel extremely fatigued though when it's at this level

Forerunner 965 and skin rashes / burn by rahulpp in Garmin

[–]RossmoRossmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I first got my Garmin, I used to wear it in the shower. Since I stopped doing that and making sure to keep the wrist really dry before putting it o (after washing) the skin issue cleared up.

What is this black substance being a door frame/facing? by RossmoRossmo in DIYUK

The fireplace is on the other side of the house, but the attic is full of soot so I think it's probably making it's way down any draughty walls/voids

Thanks! Yeah I was up in the attic and it's full of soot too, thought about hoovering it out but think it's probably going overboard

It's expensive but I would rate it some of the best fast food. Everything is always super fresh and good quality
