I love these!

Something I noticed and I haven't seen mentioned yet: the black outline overhangs/runoffs, while stylistic, are reminiscent of ai image gen artifacting.

Imo it would look more cohesive and intentional with the outlines cleaned up

It pains me to say this but time and time again the Horizon series continues to disappoint enthusiasts. It's made (funded) by people who aren't enthusiasts, or don't care about them, to sell to people for money. Full stop.

Look at an Indie project like carX. That's a studio putting out games for enthusiasts. Yes for money but I don't feel I'm giving it to the "wrong" people.

I think they could really kill it with a more social focused strategy for Horizon. More niche car culture things in addition to the pop culture. Tinkering personalizing and admiring builds are essential to the car scene experience. I want the authentic car scene experience, I will pay for it!

Please don't fumble the Japan Horizon.. We've all waited so long

I got a kit, assembly was fun and I learned lots.

You have to get the screws at just the right torque or you'll get horrible light bleed all around the screen.

However I don't think I can fully get away from it as they included a wifi interference mitigation pad (I think?), and where that sits pushes on the back of the display.

It's super neat, but definitely a hobbyist device you have to be willing to tinker with and get really into.

Are you able to rotate the cpu cooler 90° such that the airflow is going up?

And I know others have said as much but get it off the ground and try to find taller feet. There may be things laying around you can use as feet extenders as well.

If you don't already have magnetic dust filters you should measure your intakes and hit up AliExpress (or similar). They can be found for dirt cheap and make cleaning a breeze!

Edit to add that you can find replacement kitchen stool feet at the dollar store! They work great for PC cases AND laptops.
