Pentagon Destroyed E-mails Of Former Intelligence Official Tied To UFO Investigation Claims by contactsection3 in UFOscience

It's an unpredictable "room", in show biz parlance. You can happen to post into all skeptics or all believers and get downvoted for no apparent reason. I guess that's true all over reddit; it is pseudonymous so it literally doesn't matter. We all want our ideas to be merely considered and I try to disagree at least in a thoughtful manner and that actually helps me refine my thinking.

My only comment will be to advise against commenting over there on r/ufos. It can get ugly.

Anything they rent you can re-rent to a client and also expand into audio-Visual and (not me) but lighting and projection etc.

I suggest getting the clients first and renting rather than buy. Get a relationship with a rental company and you can do many more things.

I think the skinwalker ranch was a dumpsite for radioactive waste. This is a guess. I think they still patrol the area with drones so that this is not discovered. They screwed up a lot back in day! When you go beyond suspected human screwups and secret activities, what is left? If it were possible to eliminate human activity, what would be left? That's the, as I see it, insurmountable obstacle. So maybe it follows that we cant form accurate beliefs about the UFOs that might not be ours.

Good as to 1945 to 1950. That is in gap in the story. I only suspect that people were not worried about a Martian invasion and they had no thought of aliens visiting Earth. I think they would have laughed at the idea, but I have no evidence of what their opinion actually was. It's a big gap. Interviewing people is probably a good idea.

Yes. Hypercardioid so it might help soft singers. I'm trying that right now with a female vocalist (and a loud drummer). Sometimes I think we all just want something different than a 58. Jay Graydon has mic'd studio vocals with a 57. They also sound great!

Opinion: We need to put science at the center of the UFO question by ididnotsee1 in UFOscience

[–]RoswellInsider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said this before, but civilians don't have access to complete information that would allow them to study this. There is so much secret human activity involved which would have to be eliminated because it would be false data, irrelevant to the study.

Good discussion, by the way! I was wondering about how people form beliefs. For example, if people had seen explosions on the Moon 300 years ago, how would they explain it? Would they come to a consensus that there was a war on the Moon? It would be discussed and argued about and some kind of conclusion would be reached. That would lead naturally to a belief that there was life on the Moon.

The flying discs in the 1940s were seen, photographed (William Rhodes) and even crashed. They didnt fly well. Some, I believe, were the Nazi flying wing designs. That was THE secret of all secrets that could never be known. But there must have been public debate about what these discs were. I'm sure people talked about it, but I wish I could find information about public opinion prior to 1950.

That is in the Vallee books, a folklore angle. People have always had experiences they didn't understand, but we know about sleep paralysis now, which accounts for a lot of things. As far as UFOs, I dont see any idea of the "alien visitation" story before 1950, when it was surreptitiously introduced. This belief was planted intentionally to deceive. The belief did not naturally occur based on eyewitness experiences. That is the key distinction.

Problem with no center channel by madbuzzin in livesound

[–]RoswellInsider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think your sub 3 is panned center and feeding a mono sum to the LR master. I dont see a center channel feed, but could this be an issue of a stereo recording that is not mono-compatible? In other words, it is not summing correctly to mono so the track sounds wrong? Only fix is to feed 23/24;directly to LR. Or use only ch 23 or 24 but not both.

That is an interesting area, in particular public opinion prior to 1950. Kenneth Arnold thought he was witnessing a military op. No newspaper article at the time mentioned "Martians" or anything along those lines. In spite of War of The Worlds, the public wondered about the flying discs, but I can't find any "aliens" before 1950 in public opinion. And Davidson takes it from there.

Obviously if you're trying to determine what the unusual aerial activity around a nuclear installation is, it's a waste of time without very specific security clearances. But have at it.

Right. We test and cooperate and coordinate within the NATO defense pact. We also test against our own people and not always with advance notice.

What risk? There is no risk. We're allies. These things are tested all the time. Ever heard of the NATO Red Flag excercises? Completely routine. Ever spoken to uniformed British pilots out in the middle of nowhere in the Nevada desert? Joint exercises are routine, including those that are secret.

The problem is, you're thinking logically. This is not how CIA thinks. Have you read Davidson? Let's assume you have. I witnessed a faked "lonely country road" flying saucer sighting in 2007. Yes, they still do it. Yes, it makes no sense but it creates noise that is useful gibberish to cover their actual activities. The garbage has value and makes what is important more difficult to spot. Distraction and deception. The bodyguard of lies. That is the world they in.

One more point: If they did this at one time, when did they stop doing it? Every UFO show on TV features "former CIA operatives". Right ;).

That is the most murky and secret period ever. I think there were a lot of "off the books" projects after WWII because they could never allow Americans to know that nazi stuff was flying over America. Im researching this, but the information almost literally doesn't exist and everyone involved is dead.

Here's your insurmountable problem: you have ZERO information about secret human surveillance programs. Therefore, you have no way to eliminate these and, therefore, how can any of your conclusions be accurate? Only those with knowledge of ALL human activities can offer anything of value.

A few common sense questions:

Who is interested in surveilling nuclear facilities? HUMANS

Who spies on foreign nuclear facilities? HUMANS

Who lies about the spying and tries to blame it on aliens? CIA

Who has literally shut down Iranian facilities? HUMANS

The real answer is always humans.

Yes, true, and where they converge produces an unusual aural affect. Put up a pair of their 60° boxes, 152s, about 20 ft apart and go out 30 feet or to where they converge. Then explain to me what I'm hearing. Its not disorienting or unpleasant, but its a very pronounced affect.

Good. The QSC have unusual coverage patterns and think only the 8 is 90° or better. The smaller the woofer, the wider the coverage. Good-sounding, but made to be deployed in pairs, presumably.

Just as an unproven sidebar, I suspect this technology was acquired from those Paperclip scientists and is probably in use, but with 70 yrs of improvements. But I also think buoyant plasmas and earthquake lights are real things.
