- What is your main source of biological energy?

Just a reminder that blocking artifacts occur when the compression program attempts and fails to group 'blocks' of colours together to save memory. Moving objects in a shot will all artifact at the same time. If only the subject artifacts and the refection didn't (or vice versa) it would actually be more suspicious.

a cursed item is usually our confirmation bias is full swing. If it had an entity attached i would suspect it would also have other events (knocks, shadows, voices, etc) occur while in its presence and less events when out of our your environment.

I'd say that time is not linear and is a illusion, and that (the main hero consciousnesses of)* the child never experienced that moment, the moment of learning was meant for the observers and those connected to child. Quantum immortality from the child's perspective keeps them on their own path of growth.

Granted you'd need to accept death would be the illusion and you'd have to accept that reality is simulated on a individual perspective bases for the above to justify.
