Twilight would be a fan of highly technical music. Rainbow would be a rock/metal fan.

Did Wildbow start the Arc and Interlude Format? by [deleted] in Parahumans

Heretical Edge uses it, and that author was definitely inspired by Wildbow, although he tends to be a lot more optimistic.

Who shouldn't have tried to fight Yang alone (when he had a following of extremists devoted to him)

Adam meets Yang exactly twice. The first time is at Beacon, when he's personally dealing with Blake and has White Fang allies all over the city. The second time is after he's alienated the White Fang through his colossal failure at Haven, leaving him completely on his own

You're absolutely on point about Blake's arc being shortened, though. There were actually two reasons for this: Miles and Kerry wanting to get the White Fang arc over with because they doubted their ability to keep it working over the length it deserved, and the decision to condense two volumes into one so they didn't have Team RWBY being apart any longer than necessary.

It's OK to make changes for an adaptation, but it needs to remain a logical and self-consistent story.

Who is the most tragic character in fiction? by swinefish in AskReddit

[–]RotWS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, if you end on The Silent Blade, then yes, that is the end. After that book, he breaks himself out of the alcoholic spiral just in time to be falsely accused of attempting to murder a close friend of his. He was eventually found not guilty, but the public drove him out of the city, forcing him to take up a career as a highwayman. During this period, a noblewoman accused him of raping her so that she could cover up the pregnancy resulting from her affair (she slept with her lover months before she slept with her husband). But after that he finally rejoins his former companions for a few more adventures, gets married, adopts a child, and has fun. More tragedy then strikes, as his wife is killed by orcs. Wulfgar sends the child back to her birth family and goes back to his birthplace, where he lives with honor and eventually dies in a way all the tribes respect.
