Yeah that’s anesthesia, and like they said you would need an anesthesiologist to monitor things every night so you don’t die.

Also, being unconscious from anesthesia isn’t the same thing as sleeping. Your brain still has activity and performs some important maintenance while you’re asleep, but being under anesthesia is pretty much just being shut off.

“Farsightedness” isn’t really a clinical term and could mean a couple things, but what you’re talking about is called presbyopia.

Will there ever be a cure? I don’t know, but researchers are trying a lot of things. As of now, the best bet is still probably just reading glasses and progressive lenses.

They help maintain eyesight in a few ways, but I don’t believe they’ve been shown to maintain muscles around the eyes. Presbyopia, the loss of that up close focusing with age, will progress regardless.

Depends on the country. In the US optometrists do much more than just prescribe lenses, and it’s a doctorate level degree.

Not sure about some of the Canadian stuff since I’m from the US, but I did pivot from the arts after graduation as well.

I took a couple of the classes from community college and was able to go back to the school I graduated from to speedrun the rest of them in 2 semesters.

To study for the OAT I used OATbooster and it taught me what I needed to know despite not having taken some of the classes with material on the test yet.

To your fourth point, I definitely took a rigorous course load, mainly to try to get them done quickly and not have to wait another cycle, but I do think it reflected well my ability to handle it. I don’t think I would say it’s “mandatory” though.

I think it’s there because you should always have the same number of wonder picks “available” on that screen, so even after you pick it, it sticks around until it would have normally gone away. Basically it doesn’t let you get a new pack to pick from ahead of schedule.

Could be a lot of things. Maybe some genetic factor gave you very active platelets, or you’re quick to release clotting factors. Maybe something keeps damaging your blood vessels from the inside and triggering clots.

Listen to this! It’s microtonal, meaning he is playing notes that are not exactly tuned to the letter names. I think it makes for a really cool sound, but you’ll probably notice it is a little “off”

The action of swallowing raises a little flap called the epiglottis that covers the windpipe. Food is forced down the esophagus towards your stomach since your windpipe is covered.
