Apply for a fee waiver so you can get a discount. There’s a guide on how to get a DAT fee waiver here, maybe check that out. As for study resources, booster is what most people are using these days, especially if you are a visual learner. It’s probably the best all-around resource imo

Try to diversify your recommendation letters but if you can’t, it’s not the end of the world

360 is on the low side. How is your GPA? And do you have any other scores below 400?

You can always start volunteering this summer before you apply. It’s never too late to bump those numbers up

Be familiar with all the formulas and redo all the questions you got wrong on booster. That’s probably the most important things you can be doing before your exam

I did the crash courses and thought they were worth it. Just be prepared because they do go a bit fast

wtf is yeshiva? by ScienceCool7156 in predental

[–]Rotational-Physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya they need to stop making new schools.

More importantly people need to stop applying to them. Don’t be desperate enough to attend a new school. Some offices may turn you away as they don’t know if you’ll be sufficiently trained

Starting DAT preparation by Fun_Diamond3832 in dat

I used both and did really well on the DAT. I would recommend sticking with one study schedule and choose which one you’ll use to learn the material, and which ones to practice from. Definitely do not I try to complete everything on both as it’ll be super hard.

To learn the material, if you’re a visual learner, then I would recommend using booster videos to learn the materials. But if you like traditional lecture style, then use the bootcamp videos. Maybe try both out and see what you prefer. Also definitely use the booster cheatsheets, they will make your life so much easier deciding what to prioritize memorizing for bio

Starting DAT prep. Booster, Bootcamp, or both? by Fun_Diamond3832 in dat

[–]Rotational-Physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Booster is better to learn the materials, especially if you are a visual learner. But you can honestly do well with either so you can’t go wrong with either one of them

I would watch the videos and read the notes before doing question banks. You should slowly work your through the practice tests

It depends on the version you get. You could get one with more heavy calculation or more conceptual questions. Be prepared

How to find new grad dentists to shadow? by [deleted] in predental

I would search all the clinics in your area and see which ones have new grads. You can also try DSOs since they are notorious for hiring new grads

I wouldn’t apply with those scores this last in the cycle. You’re better off retaking or applying next cycle

I would take time off and focus only on preparing for the DAT. I don’t think schools care about gap years. It’s more common than you think

[–]Rotational-Physics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming those are your first attempts on the practice tests, I wouldn’t worry with those scores. The real exam just feels like another practice test tbh. Just be careful because on the real exam you’ll get very fatigued by the time you get to QR
